I booked the EB repo yesterday too. Got on-line a little before 8 & I kept hitting the refresh button till the Repos showed up & I got right in before the website crashed. Even got my usual room so I was very happy about that! :thumbsup2 Price was a bit scary though! :crazy2:

In a few days I'm going to have a sort-of funny story to tell about this EB repo cruise :crazy2: :faint:

No, we are NOT going on that cruise, I did not call yesterday to try and book the cruise....but I was/am/whotheheckknows, booked on it, inadvertantly :lmao:

To repeat: We are NOT going on that cruise...it's just a very strange/funny situation right now. I'll tell more once this book is "closed". lol :coffee:

I am not booked on this cruise.
We can thank the school system for starting a week earlier for that.

A Back to Back on the wonder was a possiblity, but we dont want to do Castaway Cay 3 times in one week. I want to see more places than that.

Twice is nice, but on a short cruise its 1 to many.

So if we cruise in 2008 it may be on another line.

I may have to rebook our fake date cruise to a second fake date, and maybe a third.

Have fun those who got a spot on the repo

No, No, No, the only shirts I'm doing for 2008 repo will be for my family, LOL!!!

Captain Jack Sparrow (Todd) already made the t-shirt and door sign designs for the cruise, he will be putting the designs in high resolution, then whoever wants can get the design and print off their own shirts and door signs.

A drive-through t-shirt/door magnet design. Actually he did a terrific job (though I love the comment about "exactly what position are we putting Jack into").

I've got some ideas for a design for the Wonder B2B's cruises. But I may wait until POC III comes out for new ideas.

Terry......can't wait to hear the story. Inventory Control did call my TA on 1/31. I bet we had a suite booked on that cruise, too. Classic, right.

For you repo people......did you think the prices were significantly higher than you expected or just somewhat higher than you expected? I remember one of the Magic Captains telling me that a repo should be priced at 1 1/2 times the price of a 7-day cruise.

The price we got quoted for our Wonder B2B was pretty good. We know it costs more to do a Wonder B2B than a 7-day on the Magic and DS will be 13 so he gets priced as an adult. We did get a Cat 3 - asked for a mid-ship and we're awaiting word from DCL about whether or not we got it. DCL even gave us a quote for a Cat 2.

Oh and get this.....already heard from another family that is doing the Wonder B2B the same week AND they cruised the double dip with us in August.

With all this cold weather, we're in skiers heaven. I'm off to sharpen and wax all our skis tonight. Tomorrow we hit the slopes.

I'm not booked on the repo cruise, but I have a funny story.

Last night, I was watching the Nets game and my dad is on his laptop and I don't know how we got talking about the ca cruises but we did, my dad wanted to go on a repo cruise, but I talked him into just going in june or july because I wanna go to disneyland, and then we go a couple days before and 15 days is too long I could end up missing going to concerts in that amount of days. But, 7 days on the magic and going to disney land is fine for me I like concerts, so got save.

Other news going to Orlando March 9th or 10th I don't remember what day I am leaving, Birthday in Orlando and seeing TEN on my B-Day March 11th, gonna be amazing.

Rats.....couldn't get a mid-ship Cat 3 for both legs of my B2B cruise. Yikes....looks like the Wonder double dips are popular.

But we did get the same room we had in August. I view that as good luck.

The repo ended up being about 1,000 more than I was hoping for but if I had booked on board in August it would've been about 1,000 cheaper so I only have myself to blame. I guess it wasn't significantly higher but I am so used to getting a great deal on a Cat. 6 by going at the end of August so it was a little shocking to see the price go up into the 10k mark! Luckily without transfers & insurance it brought down a bit. So you're right it was about 1 1/2 times more than our 7 day in August.

Glad you got a great price on your B2B! That will be fun waving bye to everyone & you get to stay on! :woohoo:

Have fun on the slopes!

Kay: Congrats on the back-to-back double dip for August 2008! :boat: :boat: That's great that another family that you know is going, too. As we all know, it's a lot of fun to cruise with a group, even a small one. And if you get to know the people on the Cruise Meet thread for those sailings, you'll know even more people too :grouphug:

Diane: I have to say, I didn't think the repo cruise prices were all that bad either, everything taken into account. By applying the rule of "1 and 1/2 times more than a 7-day", we basically would've been in that Cat. 3 suite, at the "same rate" as the Cat. 6 we usually get. For example, on our August 2006 cruise, we paid about $5000. The price I got for the suite on the August 2008 repo was $14,800. which is just over 1 1/2 times the cost of the 2006 cruise (per week), but then take into consideration it's a suite, and I think it was an excellent deal. :)

Julia: Have fun in Orlando next month! :sunny:

Sorry you are not with us dinner partner hope everything is ok and you get what you want.

It was where I expected it to be and cheaper than 11 nights in the Med this summer, albeit they have more ports cramed in in a shorter time.

Hi Everyone!! Miss You!!!

We moved our "fake" date to the 8/08 Repo and I thought the prices were QUITE HIGH! But I have been known to be cheap. Here's our story. AllSeas transferred our existing ressies to DCL Cat 6 for 2 $6750 and Cat 11 for 2 $3256. Anyway the total for the two rooms $10,016 so my math might be a little off I'm working from memory. This is with the 10% off but we'll have $800 in stateroom credits. I also booked as soon as DCL online opened and got us all (4) in a cat 6 for $9872. I am of course going with the transferred ressies as I might be moving them to 2009. If I am somehow lucky enough to actually go on the Repo, then I'll rebook onboard for the Cruisin' Castaways II in 2009. I really hope we can MAKE THAT HAPPEN GUYS!

I wish by some miracle, we all could go on the Repo. We would all have such a blast for 15 nights.

Hopefully the Magic will be back in the Caribbean in 2009!

Kay congrats on the b-2-b!

After some checking and planning we have decided we still want to cruise on the Magic in 2008.

So after a lot of time :hourglass on the computer :surfweb: , and some time on the phone:banana: I can now say we are sailing in 2008 :dance3: :cheer2: :cool1:  :cloud9: :cheer2: :rockband: party: :dancer: :jumping1: :bounce: :mickeyjum :goofy: :dumbo: :simba: :donald: :ccat: :tinker:

August 3rd - 10th, 2008 to the Mexican Riviera

Sadly not many of the crusing Castaways will be on this one, but we will see what 2009 will bring.

Congrats Ed!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you will have a great time!!!!!!!!

OK, I can't believe I just did this, but I had to share this with a "few" of my closet friends, LOL!!! :rotfl2:

I just got a quote for the 5 day sailing of the Magic on 9-1-08 for just Hazel and I in a cat. 11, if I can swing it, and pull it off, I'm going to use this as a surprise 33rd Wedding Anniversary gift to her. The price came in a just a tad over $1200, I first got a quote for a cat. 9, but since it would just be the two of us, the $$ saved from a cat. 9 to a cat. 11, would help cover our tips for the 5 nights.

Can you imagine 20 nights on the Magic in a row and three stops at Castaway Cay within days of itself!!! Talk about your back to back cruises, I think my retirement date of June 1, 2010 might be extended, LOL!!!

:wizard: Wish me luck, I think I'm going to need it!!!!!:wizard:

Congrats Andy
If you pull this off you will have a cruise of a lifetime.

20 days on the magic would be magic to me, if that happened I could die the day I got off the ship and be happy
