Amazing! You are the epitome of Irishness! You WIN! You are even more Irish than I am! That has to be the most Irish name going... Really!

Any story told here in Ireland is about John and Mary... I LOVE IT!

My friend was on the Magic last week. He reported in yesterday.

1. He loved the big movie screen by the Goofy Pool.
2. Cozumel still shows evidence of hurricane damage. But once everything is fixed it will be better than before.
3. They are embarking by assigned group numbers, instead of first in line.
4. His time-slot for parasailing was canceled for weather on CC and he couldn't reschedule because it was booked up for the day.
5. You get canned soda in your room if you are concierge.
6. He ate t-bone steak AND lobster fresh off the grill for lunch at Serenity Bay.
7. He re-booked for 2008 and they only made him use one name for the deposit so his deposit was less.

8. He claims there is NO WAY I can pack for this trip without checking bags. My goal is to have carry-ons ONLY.

What do you think?

Darlene

thanks for posting this Darlene! I never realized the kind of food you get at Serenity Bay. Last time I went on a Disney cruise we just stayed at the family beach and ate hamburgers at Cookies. Now that they are 17 and 21, I will be sure to head out to Serenity Bay for the lobster!

Bob said the lobster tails (he had 3!) were delicious and the t-bone was great.

Enjoy,
Darlene

Count me in as :shamrock: :shamrock: Irish too :shamrock: :shamrock: (well, Irish and Polish).

Moira - I have to tell you that the first time I looked at your siggy pic I thought that you had captured a two headed giraffe on film. Just goes to show that the eyes aren't what they used to be.

Last scheduling detail done today: dog kenneling! Oh how I hate the cost! Just need to pack and we are ready to go.

I know the feeling, We have a dog and 2 cats that are being boarded.
and we are away for 3 weeks.

I could have another 5 days at OlD Key west resort if I didnt need to board them.

Same here....I use a pet sitter. I used to use a lady that charged not only based on the number of days but also on the number of pets and I used to have FOUR cats!!!

So not only was it a big downer coming back from a cruise but I'd have to pay the pet sitting bill :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

To all you pet lovers who have to boards their pets!

I have my own pet/house sitting business which is quite successfull down here. All my clients make their travel plans planned around my schedule. I know if you have more then one pet that you have to board it can become quite expensive. Several of my pets I have had since they were puppies. I have a great repoire with all of them(owners and pets) and I stay at their home while they are gone so the dogs or cats are in their own environment and it is less stressful on them I bring all my own food and anything extra that I may need. Sometimes I do more then one home but whoever books me first that is the home I stay at and I work out a schedule that is feasible and pleasant for the pets.

I have seen some of the other pet sitting companies rates who charge for every little thing possible, $$ per pet, if you have to give them medicine, comb and brush them. I just think it can get a little rediculous! I do it because I love taking care of them and don't like to see them crated all day or in a run all day. Some of them I take with me when I go and do errands or take them down to Colonial Williamsburg when it is not too hot for a nice walk, which also gives me some exercise.

As a matter of fact I will be travelling down to Charleston, SC when I get back on the 31st to take care of my former bosses Cairn terrier for 2 months while they are out of the country.

I don't mean to rant about this but I do understand how you feel. You want the best for pet!!

Karen

We are lucky enough to have a family friend come and take care of our cat Stefani when we go away.

I just got home a little bit ago after having my annual check-up with our family doctor. The doc was very pleased with my BP at 117/76, and the rest of my vital numbers were good as well, the doc said I should be around for awhile!!! :thumbsup2

The only bad news I got was that I have to watch how many sweets I eat on the cruise next month. :guilty:

Watching what you eat , that means eating with your eyes open right :rotfl2:

That's right Ed, if I close my eyes when I eat, then I can eat as many sweets as I want!!! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

hi, my name is mia and i am going on this cruise as well. I've read the last couple pages of this board and have noticed that a few people were worried about seasickness. I just thought I would let those that are worried know that the first night on a double castaway cruise is very rough. I went on a double castaway cruise over thanksgiving this past year and people were having to leave dinner because it was so bad. We've been on 4 disney cruises and i have never had a problem with the motion, but i did that night. We asked crew members and they told us that it was so bad because they have to cross the gulf stream to get to castaway cay by the morning. i dont mean to scare anyone, i just thought you should know that the first night is very rough, so if you are worried about getting sick, or have in the past, i would definitely take something. after that first night though, everything was completely fine- nice and clam. hope this helps.

Thanks for the heads up, Mia, and WELCOME!!! :welcome: :disrocks:

Karen, I'd go to Col Wmsburg every Sat morning while Josh was taking an enrichment class at Wm & Mary, filled with proud owners waliking their pedigrees! ::yes:: pug: :dogdance:

I adore my pet sitter and she deserves every penny she earns. The peace of mind is worth it.

But I always forget to factor in the cost of the pet sitting when budgeting for vacation.

If this is your second double dip cruise then I guess that makes you a "double-dip double dipper" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey, its late here on the east coast.

Yes, crossing the Gulf Stream can be rough. Good to let people be warned in advance.
