Ed, Bev, Sue and Im sorry but who am I missing? (I know there's a family of 3)
how about Happy Hour at Andy's cabin before dinner?

(ok Andy we can all meet at Trails End's bar before dinner)

Barb

I will be there, no problem, I am meeting up with Andy and Hazel a bit earlier in the afternoon anyway for a swim first. Thanks for thinking of me, and thanks everybody who organised the PS's.

Roll on August.

Sue

I figure we probably need to meet at the Trail's End around 6pm since we have 6:20 and 6:30 ressies. I was told we should be there a few minutes early and check in at the podium anyhow. I was told they will do their best to get our tables near one another, but there aren't any guarantees.

Mike isn't scheduled to be on this 2006 cruise, he saw that we had planned to be at WDW in August and asked if he and his family could join our meet at the Trail's End. Mike and his family cruised with us last August, and we met them at the NJ DISmeet last June. Mike is a character and loves everything Disney, they are also DVC Members.

Andy, I was in high school when Star Wars first came out and I wasn't interested either. I never saw ANY of the first 3 movies, in the theater.

When DS17 was 4 years old he somehow became a huge Star Wars fan, so I've had Star Wars toys and the movies on VHS (and now on DVD) in the house ever since.

Then when the newer episodes started coming out a few years ago, we took DSs to see them and I really did enjoy them. I LOVED this final episode that we saw last night, and NOW, FINALLY, those original 3 episodes make sense to me. :earboy2:

It's been raining here all day afterall, but the grass seed we put down last week is loving it. lol I used this afternoon to get a few things done around the house and I reorganized my pantry, we ordered in Chinese food for dinner, and now here I am on the couch, on the laptop :) Robby slept over a friend's house last night and still isn't home, Craig just went out to meet up with some friends at a local restaurant/arcade, John is in his office (a room off the family room), so it's nice and quiet here right now. I've dimmed the lights and lit 2 of my favorite Yankee Candle scents, which are Pineapple Paradise and Buttercream.... I *may* indulge in a glass of Bailey's a little later. :teeth:

Hope you're all having a good weekend. :flower:

Good Morning Everyone :wave2:
For everyone who has doctor's appointments this week.........I am sending much PD. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
It was a very longggg day yesterday. We didn't get home till around 10:00 and I was simply tired. Nothing like being at a dance competion for 9 hours. Lol I only have a couple of pictures. Brooke only did two dances one for ballet which she got gold for and her tap which she got high silver.

Thanks Terry, She reminds me of a doll in her ballet costume. After 2 weekends of this I need a break.

Tina: The pics are beautiful! Congratulations! My DD has a dance recital the beginning of June. She does Hip-Hop but she is not in competition.

Terry: We went to see Star Wars yesterday. My DS is a huge fan. They even had Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, and those Red people (?) at the theater. He got his pic taken with Darth. I thought the movie was good, but I think they could've done without one violent part in the councel chamber (I don't want to mention it and ruin it for anyone). Even though they didn't actually show it happen, it was too sad for my kids and even myself. I thought they made the point about Darth being evil without that.

My DD had her MRI today. She was really scared but it went well. We will have the results in 2 days. She had her appt. with the Neurologist the other day & she seems to think they are classic migraines brought on by school. My DD is such an over-achiever so I am not surprised. State testing was this week & I know she was worrying about that. Now I've got to figure out how to get my daughter to lighten up a little. She spends hours doing her homework because she is so meticulous. I have the opposite problem with my DS. He whips through it in about 5 minutes & it looks it!

By the way....could anyone tell me when the heck it is going to warm up around here??? I am sick of this rainy & chilly weather! We've had the worst winter & now it appears the worst spring ever! yuck! :umbrella:

Hi everyone

We're back from Chicago. Thanks everyone for all your good wishes. We had a great time and I'm exhausted. Flew on United for the first time. We almost missed the flight in Philly even though we were there 90 minutes early with only carry on luggage. We were waiting in the line for security the whole time until they announced the last call for our flight. We were rushed thru security and onto the plane only to be delayed on the runway for over one hour. Unreal. Today was pretty scary. Allowed plenty of time to get to Chicago O'hare; spent less than 5 minutes going thru security and had over 1 hour to wait in the airport. Boarded the plane, sat there for about 1/2 hour when the pilot announced we were delayed because flying to Chicago he thought there was a problem with the cabin pressure and hadthe mechanics working on it when they found an engine problem. So he said they would either fix it or make it okay to fly to Philly where they would have it fixed. I was really scared. Then they announced they were changing our flight and we had another hour wait in the airport for that plane. Then they announced that the plane we were getting on had no fresh water and there would be hand towelletes in the bathrooms instead of water, and that the toilets were working but not right. I'd rather be safe than sorry and I'd rather take Southwest then United. I'D rather take a CRUISE. Lindsay would have rather driven. Bottom line, we made it home safe.

I got our reservations at TE for the 19th. Lindsay thought I was crazy using 3 phones at 5:55 (Chicago time) to get there. I did and it was fun.

Been thinking about everyone and hoping everyone is hanging in there. I'll find out my good LOL news on Tuesday whether I need surgery or should I say when I need surgery. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for all not well.

Take care and even though it's only 6:24 pm, I going to bed. It's been quite a weekend.

Stay well everyone. :grouphug:

Bev ::MickeyMo

Bev--I'm tired just reading what you wrote!!! LOL!!!

BTW, we now have ressies for 24 people at TE on August 19th. Barb got a ressie for 12 at 6:20 and I got a ressie for 12 at 6:30, so we are all set now!!!

Tina,
The problem this year is we have a real spring. Cold in the Am, warm up midday and cool/cold at night.

With any luck this cycle will break, right around the 1 or 2nd week of June. :flower:

Diane: I know the exact scene you are referring to. I've seen a lot of people mention that it bothered them, but I had read about it before the movie, so I expected it, and it didn't bother me as much. This Star Wars was a very "dark" movie, especially compared with all the others. I really did like it though! It must've been fun for you guys to have Darth Vader at the movie with you! :earboy2:

Bev: Welcome home! :grouphug: I'm glad you and Lindsay made it back ok... *WHEW* what an ordeal though!! :earseek:

Well I'm happy to report that John and I have "babies!" :teeth: Baby blades of grass, that is!! All of the seed we put down last weekend is FINALLY starting to sprout!! With the cooler temps we were wondering how long it was going to take. Now we just need the sun to come out more and warm our seedlings up so they can grow big and strong :sunny: :earboy2:

Bev - glad you made it home safe

Wow! This Aug vacation will be tons of fun
The big DISmeet at Trails End

Brooke also has a recital the 2nd week in June.I would have enjoyed it more if I was feeling well. I slept most of the day and am now getting ready to get back to bed. I am glad your DD had her MRI and hope the results are good and she is feeling better soon. :wizard: :wizard:

Bev: Welcome home :flower: Sorry you had a rough flight. That would have scared me also. Think positive that you won't need surgery. :wizard: :wizard:

Terry: When I first read your post about "babies" I was thinking did I miss something. :rotfl: It rained alot today so Chuck wasn't able to mow the lawn. :umbrella: Guess I will have to try at sometime this week because it can't go another week without it being done.
