On 10/21 - 10/23 I am running a bus trip to Salem Mass. DD Lindsay is coming too. We are staying at Fairfield Resort in Woburn Mass. Doing all the Witch tours. Does anyone live near there? Thought maybe we could meet while I'm there?

Bev ::MickeyMo

My mom will probably come too. (Olga's) She would like to meet everyone. Her name is Esther. Lindsay might come - she wants to know if there will be anyone there around her age (18).

Since I put up with alot of "crap" from my ex-husband - any single men in their 50's for me would be nice. I'll "run" on over. :rotfl2:

Bev: I live right next door to the "Witch City" and I grew up in Woburn. Unfortunately I have school all next weekend but I am out of school by 5pm on Saturday & Sunday. PM me & let me know if you're available then.

Wish I could join the meet in NJ but that's a bit of a haul for us.

Take care everyone!
Diane

I just spoke to my niece. She told me that Olga's Diner is not very good. She recommended the Red Lion Diner instead. She said it's still right on Rt 70 (it's actually the corner of Rt 70 and 206. Is anyone familiar personally with either of these diners? Which do you prefer? They are only 15 minutes apart, so I don't think distance would be an issue.

Any thoughts? Opinions?? :scratchin

Here's the info for the Red Lion Diner:

Address: 1753 Route 206, Southampton, NJ 08088
Phone: (609) 859-2301

Yes Olga's ROTS! It has a weird smell and the food and service suck. The past 3 times I was there, it was horrible. The Red Lion is VERY very nice and good food too. ENJOY! Especially since no one invited ME!!!!!!!!! I should've kept my mouth shut and let you all eat at stank Olga's!!!!!!!!!!

Terry,

I did do a little more research on Olga's online, and the reports I read didn't give very good marks for Olga's, it seems the place has been going downhill lately. I've never eaten there myself, after reading what I read tonight, I don't think I'd want to either.

:rotfl: OK!!!

It's official! The NJ Cruisers DIS Meet is now going to be at the Red Lion Diner! :teeth:

I will go and edit the post where I first mention the meet, and put in the info for the Red Lion Diner.

I just found this menu online for the Red Lion Diner. This must be the lunch and dinner menu as I didn't see any breakfast items listed. I'm not sure if these prices are still the same today as they appear on this menu, not telling how long this manu has been posted online.

Excellent research, Andy! Sounds like the Red Lion Diner is a good choice. I'm so glad I asked my niece about Olga's! LOL I thought I'd been to Olga's with her, but she said we'd been to the Red Lion. We do pass Olga's though, so that's why I got the two places confused.

P.S. A lot of diners have separate breakfast menus. :)

P.P.S. Would anyone rather meet for lunch instead of breakfast/brunch? I think either would be fine. What's better for all of you??

Would 11am work better for everyone? We're not big breakfast eaters ourselves, but if 10am works better, we don't have a problem with that. Remember, this "IS" going to be the morning "AFTER" Thanksgiving!!!

I just popped on here and read about the Diner Meet. We would love to see everyone! Please list us as joining you. Stan, Darlene & Sandra.

How fun!
Darlene

Red Lion diner sounds good to me. 15 minutes extra to travel is not a problem for us. Remember, we travel 1 1/2 hours to go to Shady Maple near Lancaster for breakfast or lunch.

Count us in.
