How are Mitch and the girls? I can't wait to see a picture of Shorty.

Stan is going through chemo and we are hoping for remission. Sandy just got a new prescription for her glasses, the last one was just 6 months ago. Her eyes are changing quickly. Poor little thing. I'll definately look into contacts for her when she is about 12.

Sandy is such a sweetheart. She makes everyday interesting and lovely.

Sandy...My prayers are with Stan, may he pull through this and be healthy again. Samantha wanted to get contacts this year, but we convinced her to go with another year of glasses. She is going to be 10 in November and starts Middle School next year, so we will see then. But I have to say, she looks good in glasses.

We will be sailing in February 2006.during winter break. We are sailing on Costa Cruise lines. Kids 17 and under sailed "FREE". so we jumped on it. Everyone we talk to that sailed on Costa said the ship is SPOTLESS, and they liked it, so how bad can it be.

How did you guys like the 14 night cruise? Was it awesome and did you feel it was too long?

I received a DIS e mail notification from Verandah Man, and when I clicked on the link it said it wasn't there? What happened?

I tried to access that thread also and found it missing. I'm surprised that it was removed. I've heard that many people from the original list have since cancelled and many new families are not on the list. I read that a couple of people from this thread were confused why another thread was started for this cruise. I for one would rather a new thread was started that could update the list of cruisers and be useful as a lead thread. Since I'm not yet a member of the list maybe one of the original members would start another thread and ask for this thread to be removed instead.

Hi everyone

First of all, Darlene, please let Stan know that we are thinking of him, and all of you, during this difficult time. I remember when my sister went through chemo. I am so looking forward to seeing your family on the cruise next summer, so we can all give Stan a big hug in person!

Secondly, I do understand what some people are saying and feeling regarding Page One not being updated. I think if I was new to the thread, I'd want to see my own name on the list, too. I am just not sure if starting a whole new thread is the answer. I am going to try and contact MaryRose, to see if I could possibly update the first page, since I know she's been very busy in her personal life. If that's not possible, then when we can always have an updated Cruisers List right here, on any page of the thread. I've seen threads where the updated lists are not kept on page one, but rather are updated through the course of the thread. I really want to make everyone happy, and I hope you all can see both sides of this, like I do. Just give me a little time to contact MaryRose, ok?

This one has grown over time and should not be discontinued.

We LOVED the repo cruise! It was not too long. I was afraid it would be, but I could have stayed on longer.LOL
Where does Costa sail to? Where do you leave from? Feb will be here before you know it. Good idea...get out of the cold!!!!!

If everyone loooks over this list, maybe we can get a better count, how does that sound to everyone? If your name is not on the list and you would like it to be, please let me know. If you see a name on the list, and you know that person has cancelled this cruise, please let me know. I wasn't sure about the MoranClan, I thought they said they were going cancel, but I don't remember if they did or not for sure, that's why I put a (?) next to their name. Thanks Verandah Man, I've finally made the list, I guess this means we're really going!! Has anyone had any group meeting ideas? Where is the best place to find out about excursions being offered? Does everyone use only DCL excursions or are other companies pretty reliable?

Have you checked the DCL website, I know they have excursions listed there. The only excursions my family has done have all been DCL excursions, but we haven't done that many excursions anyhow. I do have a link to Costa Maya excursions on my desktop, I'll have to write myself a note to copy that url address down the next time I get on my desktop.

As was stated before, we have a member of our cruise group by the name of Bev (mickeymom923) that has blocked 50 rooms at the Radisson for the Friday night before our cruise. I'm sure (weather permitting) we can have a meeting around the pool at the Radisson. We've done this in the past, and it was a nice ice breaker getting to meet our fellow cruisers. We've also had meets on the ship as well, for those who weren't able to meet at the Radisson. I've read about other groups meeting at 3pm at the Promenade Lounge on deck 3, I think that might be a good idea as well. I'm open to more suggestions.

I know that lynr and the family listed with lynr, are not going.

Again, thanks for reprinting the list, and now maybe we can get an accurate picture of who's going, and who isn't.


Denna B: I know that some of us talked about doing the Fury Catamaran excursion on Cozumel together. We've also talked about having a meet on Castaway Cay, not sure which day though. Maybe both

Unfortunatey I won't be on this cruise after all. I had to cancel today as it conflicts with the first day of school next year (which I knew could be a possiblity).
