I got up early to call this morning for Christmas Day PS.

Got the right recording just before 6:00 am Central time. I waited on hold for 46 minutes... the longest I've ever had to wait. Since these were the only PS DD-17 was counting on for our entire trip, I didn't want to take a chance by calling later.
:crazy2:

Edith was very nice and got me set up for an early lunch at LTT and dinner at WCC. We joked about me NOT wanting CRT and how I already was staying in two resorts, had Cirque tickets, and Annual Passes. I mentioned something about them being busy and being on hold. She said it was not only busy because of the number of people wanting Christmas PS, but the process is a tiny bit longer due to the credit card info they need, AND they have a "skeleton crew" (weather and all).:umbrella:

I'm quite happy with the way everything turned out. I'm also quite happy that I have a cell phone with no long distance charges and unlimited weekend minutes for my 55 minute, 33 second call to WDW DINE!:faint:

I also called when they opened this morning (as I have been doing for the last week) and was on hold for 30 minutes. The person I spoke with did say they were in the call center in KS and mentioned that some of the staff from FL was there because they were unable to work in FL. We got our XMAS day lunch in Whispering Canyon Cafe for a single table for 12 people, but I did not get my preferred time of 1:00. Had a choice of either 12:10 or 2:30, so I booked both and will cancel one later.

After we were done she did ask if I wanted to check for breakfast at the castle, but I chuckled and told her I already had that booked for earlier in our trip.

I've been very fortunate with our PS's so far with our large group, and have only had a grumpy person answer the call one time. That time she just was very firm that they could not accomodate my part of 12 at Prime Time Diner at any combination of tables until 2:45 and we wanted close to the first seating. I called back later that morning, and there were 3 tables of 4 at the very first lunch seating available. I just had a feeling that the first lady was having a bad day or perhaps that's the way she always is.

I just booked what I think we want to do (without the hours it's hard to decide). I booked LTT for lunch at 11:30. We've never had lunch here, but we love dinner. We don't anticipate being at MK into dinner hours so instead we planned for lunch. Any feedback on lunch would be appreciated.

Further, I booked Ohana at 8pm Christmas evening hoping to catch the fireworks from there.

The only other "if" I was thinking about booking would have been Whispering Canyon for lunch instead of Liberty Tree....

I called a couple of minutes after 6 and was waiting for around 1 1/2 hours. I was almost back to sleep with the phone on my ear. I did get what I wanted, Yacht Club Galley for breakfast and Park Faire for dinner at 4:00. I don't know if I needed to get up that early or not but better safe than sorry.;)

1 1/2 hours :scared1:

I'm a bit compulsive about planning. Although I'm not as compulsive as before... I've only got 4 PS for 12/19 - 12/28 stay. ;)

If getting up in the wee hours of the morning on a weekend and sitting listening to Disney tunes gives me a better chance of getting what I want, I'm willing. ::yes::

I'll be at LTT 11:45... our first trip there ever. Like trampslady, I wouldn't mind some feedback either. :chat:

I called too! I got the open message right at 6:59 and then was on hold until 7:06. I thought there was no way that we would get breakfast at the Castle, but low and behold we got in at 10:00 for 5.

I have never made this ressie before, but I was really surprised how long it took to complete the process. I got thru at 7:06 and was finished with the Castle ressie at 7:19. Then I made a dinner ressie for Bomas and that took another 10 additional minutes.

I was sweating the whole time while I was making the breakfast PS because she kept saying hold on over and over. I kept thinking did she grab the time, is she going to come back and say sorry I can't get it. Anyway, all's well that ends well. I hope everyone else got the Christmas PS's they wanted.;)

I called this morning at 7:30. I got my two PS for breakfast at Crystal Palace and dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. I hung up at 9am. I did not check exactly how long I was on hold for but I believe it was 1hr 10 minutes. (I guess we all love the mouse!!! :p )

My original plan was to get up in the wee hours, but after helping my brother move all day yesterday, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Instead I called at around 2pm today....got right through and what I wanted. Sleep is good!!!

I also called this morning. Got a lovely CM who was one that was flown into KS to help out with PS's. I waited about 40 mins. and I was apologetic but it is a Christmas PS and it's our first time......

She kept apologizing that the waits are long and that they are short staffed but I thanked her for being there!

V & A for Christmas Dinner! I am soooooo excited!

I wanted tickets for LaNouba but she did not have the facility to get them and suggested I call back on Monday. I ended up going to Cirque's Website and ordered them there! I am glad I did! Could not get anymore tickets after I bought for NYE!

It's gonna be a fun Time!

See you all there!

Its funny you tell non Disney people about getting up at the crack of dawn to make a dinner ressie for Christmas and they'd think your nuts.

Want to talk about crazy I was on hold for 2hrs and 19min. Got up 2 min before 7am est. and didn't get through until 9:19am. But I got my ressie Cinderella's Castle for dinner at 5:30 for 10 people :-). I can't waite! The CM thought I was crazy because I held all that time for 1 ressie. All worth it!

We got thru 7am as well. Done by 7:30am. Booked PS at Ohana for 5pm, we have to check in at La Nouba at 8pm. I sure hope this is a good X-mas Day plan. We're changing hotels from POP to POR this day as well and will probably spend some of the day at MGM.

I was on hold maybe 15-20 minutes at 7am but the CM and her manager were both unable to pull up Chef Mickey's breakfast. She didn't know why. I took a PS at Crystal Palace just so we had something but then I called back about 4pm and the CM was able to get my CM's breakfast so I cancelled the CP. I thought that was odd. It was a first for me. Yesterday morning I was able to get a Wishes fireworks cruise. I think we're going to have a fantastic week, even with the crowds!
