I talked with a very nice CM. I asked first about AP rates for summer...nothing.

I asked about the Visa package. She said only new card holders who applied in February. (I still don't think it's ALL new card members though) She then went on to say that Disney was working with Bank One for a deal for the current loyal card holders. Time will tell on that one. I said, "because we have all been in a uproar?" She said, "you might say that and laughed."

She said watch both Bank One and Disney's site.

Out of curiosity, I asked what they would do with the reservations made for people who really weren't new Card Members. She said that the behind the scenes people were looking at all reservations made with that code and the ones that didn't check out would receive a call. She also indicated Disney realizes it's their fault that reservations are being taken and shouldn't be. She said it was their error.

I am still floored though because incorrect reservations are still being made today from different posts in other threads :(

That's good news! In fact, that is probably the first ray of light that we have had all weekend. Now lets hope that it is true. :D

(Just sent you a pm)

That's really great info. Thanks so much for posting!!

I really believe that this deal will eventually be available to everyone from charter members like myself to the general public.

I'm glad to hear of a good experience after reading about all the negatives ones!

Sending pixie dust to all of you who slipped thru the cracks. Disney better not cancel on you!

I was encouraged! It was so funny when I said that we all caused an uproar. It was actually my second call today. Earlier the other CM indicated there would be something for the other Disney Visa Card holders but not nearly as positive as this one.

I don't know if I made it clear or not, but for those that did slip through the cracks, Disney seems to be taking the blame for that. The CM said that they have several things that they have to verify now when they take those package reservations.

I do NOT like the sound of that! They better give us something good.

The way I keep looking at this is the following--I am going to disney for my honeymoon. Now I will either go and stay at a value for 5 nights and buy a cheap hopper offline or disney can give me the FTP where I will stay longer eat more and buy more souvenirs and pay for more events.

We'll both lose

:(

Anyway, I have a question for you EEyorelover22. Do you remeber the ressies particulars for the FTP?

How many days do you have to cancel? How much you have to put down?

Thanks!

I didn't write that very well.

The first CM was not as positive that there would be a deal. I was trying to say that I heard the same thing from two different CMs today, but the second one was more reassuring of a deal. The first one I asked if the package would be opened to other Disney Visa card holders and she said, "we haven't gotten a yes or no answer on that yet." I asked if I should keep checking since I had a Disney Visa and she said, yes.

I didn't mean that the deal wouldn't be positive though. The second one indicated it would be a good deal.

I don't remember the specifics of the FTP but WDTC has a 45 day cancellation policy I believe and someone else posted that it's a $200 deposit with a Disney Visa.

Thanks! I knew I could count on you to reply quickly! :)

I feel better now thanks!

Well if you are then I guess so am I considering I knew you were hanging around :)

I'll have more fun if the package comes out! Or at least a decent AP rate. I'd be happy with that too.

Thanks!!:bride: :love2:

Now, you can't let a non-package from Visa not let you have fun on your honeymoon. I never had a honeymoon and now with DS 12 and DD 11, I have an even longer wait for a trip to WDW solo!! I have 14 years and 82 days till I retire and live forever in the Castle princess:

I believe a package will come out.

I too would be happy with a decent AP rate as well. The figures come out very close with the AP Rate and the package. The difference for us is Standard vs Sav at AKL.

The ONLY reason I wouldn't have as much fun is because I wouldn't be there as long! I might be more comfortable in a bigger room or a *better* (as in level) resort, but I'll have as much fun no matter what. DF is a pro at making me try the stuff I don't think I'll like. We got to go in August (my very first trip) b/c of the FTP. So in honesty I've really already had my disney honeymoon (just not techniquely). I've actually made a special savings account and cut back on some stuff so I could save to go back b/c now I'm a disneyaholic!!

EEyorelover22 I think we've kinda turned this into our own personal thread! I hope others would be willing to post about their experiences in calling for the package!
