It's almost time to make my 180 day dining reservations, better to just call or make them on-line? Do both start at 7 am EST or can you go on-line earlier?
:cool1:

The best is whichever you feel most comfortable with ;). Online does get to start at 6am EST, so you can start there, and then call at 7 if the system's giving you issues or you'd rather talk to a person.

I find online reservations to be more efficient most of the time.

I made all of my reservations online for the first time in 40 years of Disney dining,,and I must say it was fantastic...You put the Park, or Resort you are interested in, the restaurant,,and the time..and if your time is not available, It gives you the closest available time to your request..You can either accept or decline it...VERY easy,,and they send you an email to verify it! So quick and simple,,Just have your list of preferences ready and it will go smoothly!!
Enjoy!popcorn::

I've found the online system to be pretty painless. Just make sure you specify an exact time, instead of using the breakfast/lunch/dinner selection. That will give you the best chance to get the closest reservation to the time you want.

Online - it's quicker (you don't have to give information on your past 20 years of vacations to an automated system) and you get an email confirmation of your reservation (you don't get an email when you call).

One thing though - recently I could not find Le Cellier online and it turns out that you had to call - I did and got a reservation. So there are some situations that you should call.

Online is so fast and easy! Love it! Maybe check it out before your actual day, if you've never used it before.

Online seems to be faster - once you find the right page on the Disney site.

I made all but one ADR online for our upcoming August trip. I loved it. It was much easier to see what was available and make my choices.

The one meal I called for was done somewhat quickly, but the girl almost mistakenly made the ADR for the wrong restaurant. Luckily, I caught the mistake in time.

That's what I did and I just did mine this morning. It was very easy and I like the control of doing it myself and the ability to print out my dining schedule. I recommend online.:thumbsup2

I've done both, but I think I prefer online. :surfweb: You get the jump start by being able to begin at 6am instead of waiting until 7, if you're trying for a hard-to-get ADR. If you run into trouble, you can always call. I'll be doing it in 18 days myself and plan to do online.:thumbsup2 Have fun and pixie dust that you get all the ADRs you hope for.pixiedust:

I find online easier. The CMs always seem to want to chit chat and be friendly, and when I'm booking ADRs I care more about speed than polite chit chat. I have to bite my tongue to keep from saying "just shut up and find my ressies!"

I just did all mine online. I like that you can print a confirmation and they email you the confirmation. To many people have reported reservations getting "lost". This way I'll have printouts to bring with me.
