I posted this on the Disneyland board, but thought I'd try here in case somebody had ideas for me. Also ... does anybody know if you can get a GAC in California?
My husband is recovering from a car accident he had last fall. He's finally walking on his own but gets fatigued quickly. We have a trip booked for mid-April. (15-19) We're staying at the Anaheim Fairfield (DL Hotel was booked and I didn't want to pay Paradise Peir prices!).
We're hoping to rent a motorized scooter, but will be able to manage w/ a manual wheel chair if necessary ... he used one for months after the accident. Is there any place in or out of Disney to reserve these? Do they "sell out" at DL?
We'll have a rental car -- sedan, so there's no way we could pick up a scooter anywhere not at the park or very close to it. And while we have plenty of time when we get there (we're arriving on the 12th and visiting relatives first) we won't have a lot of time leaving (11am flight out of LAX) to make "side trips" if you kwim ....
Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice.
