California Grille July 4th, no ADR. Am I kidding myself?

Hello! We will be at WL on July 4th. Totally last minute trip, so I have no ADRs. For just a party of 2, what are the chances of being allowed up to California Grille for dinner on July 4th?! We would be happy to eat at the bar. And am I correct if you eat dinner at California Grille at Anytime, you are allowed back up with your receipt for Wishes?

I would imagine that your chances very slim. This is one of the busiest days in WDW. And with the 4th of july fireworks being what they are I'm thinking that CG will be incredibly busy. But it never hurts to try.

Yes. Just take your dinner receipt and a Cast Member will escort you up to the 15th floor for Wishes.

I obsessively checked for an ADR at CG the week leading up to the trip. Like about 5 times a day. A few days before we left a 5:30pm time popped up! I danced around like a fool. So, no need to roll the dice. It felt great knowing we locked it in. We had dinner and came back for the fireworks. Such an amazing view!!!

When we were checking in at 5:30, there was a woman who asked if there was any openings to eat at the bar and they said there were. So I am thinking we probably could have gotten in since it was just the two of us!

You are braver than I am! I was worried about the crowds in the MK that night, but I bet it was an amazing experience!
