california grill - will the chef specially prepare food to order?

does anyone know whether the chefs at the california grill will prepare food to order...that is, for example, preparing poached or steamed fish, rather than broiled...something like that....

i know this is possible at the GF, i was wondering if it's also possible at the california grill...

The chefs are pretty accommodating. I know they will tweek the menu items to fit guest taste buds at their request. Often they come right out to the table and talk to you about it.

i already have a PS for us.....i guess i'll call them a day or two before to see if i can set it up in advance....
