California Grill vs. Flying Fish

If you can I'd say do both. If you can't do both then I would definitely go with CG.

My experiences at CG have FAR outweighed those at FF. My food at FF has never been anything but okay while I've had many wonderful dishes at CG. Likewise the service at FF has been mostly okay but never outstanding. While I can't say the service at CG has always been outstanding it has hit the mark much more often.

I do have to admit the noise & confusion level at CG can be overwhelming around the times of the fireworks but I've not really found FF to be a quiet dining experience either!

I would also classify my husband & I as 'foodies' if that makes a difference to your decision.

Wow, I'm getting a wide margin of tastes and opinions... Keep them coming and I'll tally them up at the end and see who wins....I may end up eating at both restaurants...I'm wondering how each restaurant seat solo diners?

There are always tables for two, but if you walk-in without ADR and their busy...if you are lucky..the bar/counter area may be all that is available.

Counting opinions is not really going to help you. I would recommend that you eat at both, if you have the abilty to eat at both. We have eaten at both and their both good choices, but if you desire the Disney touch, then you should consider California Grill.

I've been to FF twice - most recently in February - and CG once (a number of years ago). I liked the food and atmosphere at FF enough to go back, BUT I'll make some observations here: It felt loud, hectic, and crowded the last time I went. The server was almost surly. Food was good, not excellent.

When we return to WDW in December, we'll revisit CG as I recall it to be elegant and relaxing with excellent food... I think I've gotten my fill of FF for awhile.
