We're planning to dine at California Grill with the DxDP. Does anyone know if sushi still counts as an appetizer, and if the cheese plate can be ordered as a dessert?

I know before the renovation, the 2 most expensive sushi dishes (Yoshie's Deluxe Platter and the Dragon Roll) counted as entrees instead of appetizers. However, Yoshie's Platter is no longer on the menu, and prices on the other sushi dishes have increased, so I wonder if they would be excluded now.

Thanks in advance!

From following along with the California Grill reopening ADR thread someone mentioned that they got the Spicy Kazan roll as an appetizer on the Deluxe Dining Plan - that's all I have heard/read so far though

we ate at CG last night on the deluxe DP. We were told the dragon roll was an entrée but everything else was an appetizer. The cheese plate counts as one appetizer or 1 desert however you want to order it. Everything was wonderful. The tuna 4 ways is so good.

Thanks for the info, everyone! I remember that the dragon roll counted as an entree before the refurb, but it's nice to know the other sushi dishes still count as appetizers (in spite of the price increases). :thumbsup2

And at least one of us will probably want the cheese plate for dessert, so that's also good news. :)
