My mother who is 80 and I want to eat at Cal grill, however we are both light eaters. Would it be all right to just order appitizers and dessert here? Also what is the best way to get a table with a good view?

You can order whatever you want. My wife and I ate there last Saturday night. She wasn't very hunger, so we split an appetizer order of flat bread and a ravioli. I ordered an entree, but she didn't. And we each had a dessert.

If you're talking about a view for the fireworks, I'd recommend you make your PS so you're done with the meal shortly before the fireworks, or make one for just after the fireworks, and watch them from the observation deck "waiting area". The windows at CG are tinted and unless your table is right against the window you won't be able to see the tops of the higher fireworks as they explode above your line of sight.

Thanks for the help. really just want the view since we are going in Sept probably won't have fireworks that night anyway. also we eat early around 6pm

If that's the case, all you have to do is tell the CM at the check-in podium that you're willing to wait for a table by the window.

Thanks for the info. My Mother already picked out her dessert still wavering on the appetizer. I just hope that these will still be on the menu in Sept since they do change their menu.
