California Grill - not taking reservations for fall?

Hi -I know that the California Grill is closed through the summer for renovations, but has anyone heard when they will begin taking reservations? I wanted to make reservations for my trip in October.

Nobody knows anything I have called multiple times and nothing I am really frustrated to be honest...

If I could guess I would say they will open reservations 60 days before the restaurant re opens

I do not believe that they have an actual date for the restaurant to be reopened. At least, no date that has been made public. The work they are doing is extensive including work on the roof. They may not be willing at this point to give a firm date. Until they know when the restaurant will open, they can not open up any reservations. Otherwise, if the guess was wrong, they will be having to call guests back to cancel and then attempt to find them somewhere else to eat.

Thanks all - I had tried online and calling and was also frustrated. Bummer, but I guess I'll just have to be patient and keep checking back for updates. Was hoping it would open up again for the Food and Wine Festival.

Sorry, but they are not taking reservations at this time and most likely will not until they get a reopening date set. Construction deadlines often change. It's going to be necessary to be patient for awhile.

The website actually had August 31 as the reopening date awhile back, but that has been removed.

We started a watch thread in this forum. If you subscribe to it we will let you know as soon as CG opens up reservations. There are alot of us wanting a fall reservation.

I don't expect them to start taking reservations until they're just about ready for soft openings. That seems to be a pattern with WDW restaurants, and it makes sense... Better to have room for walk-ups for a little while than to have to deal with people upset because their ADRs had to be cancelled because of construction delays. I'm hoping for an ADR there fore December and it is almost certainly going to be open by then, but I don't think I'll be able to book it at 180 out.
