I just found this site and thank you for so much useful information!

After reading other posts, I really wanted to see the fireworks from California Grill since I haven't been to WDW since I was 11. The only time I could get PS was for 10:00 pm (party of 8). I was told that the fireworks start at 9:45, but we could go up to the deck to watch and then come to our table. The problem is that I don't think we will want dinner that late. Would the staff hate us if we just ordered lots of desserts and coffee? We do this all the time in NYC.

On the same line, if you don't think that is acceptable, can a guest just go up to the deck anytime? I'm unsure of the layout.

THANKS!

Hi,

Your 10:00pm reservation is out of the mainstream busy dinner times...

I think your idea is great - get up there early and check in with the CM - watch the fireworks and when your table is ready enjoy all your desserts, liquors, coffee whatever...

If you were planning on doing this at 8:00pm it would not be right not to have dinner - but 10:00pm should be no problem.

Have fun

Hi,

Welcome to the boards.

When you are making your reservation I would mention to the CM that you just want to watch the fireworks then have dessert and coffee. That way you are covered. I'm sure that this will be ok.

Have a great time!!!
