Hi folks just booked an ADR for California Grill on the 18th July after reading many good reviews :thumbsup2
Can anyone answer me these questions please?

1. The operator said there is a dress code "Slacks and a button up shirt". What do they actually mean and how strict are they? How about footwear are trainers acceptable? How about kids? they're 12(girl) 14(boy)

2. We have booked an 8pm seating time (actually that's all they had). Will this be OK to watch the 10pm showing of "Wishes" from their viewing gallery?

3. We're not intending to go to The Magic Kingdom that day so can we park in the car park of the Contemporary Hotel?

4. Also any recommendations as too what too eat?

I've no doubt you guys can help

I have eaten there a few times and love it, you will have a great meal!!

1) Dress smart casual. Trainers will be OK on the kids as long as they look OK. I think the basic dress code is just no ripped jeans, scruffy tops etc. We personally take the oportunity to make it a bit special and do dress up a bit (trousers/nice top or dress for me).

2) Yes you will be able to view wishes from the balcony. If you have finished your meal by that time they will still let you back in to go out on to the gallery. They pipe the music in there and you have a great view. We did this on Christmas eve and it was really special.

3) When we have driven to the hotel in the past we have seen people being issued with 3 hour parking passes to park there and enjoy their meal. We usually vallet the car (this is free for DVC members so it is no charge for us) which I think is $12. This wa we have no time limit on the car.

4) We try different things on the menu. The menu does change quite often an as we haven't been there for a while Im not sure what is offered currently. They do have a great selection though.

5) Have a wonderful meal there!!

I am also interested in making a booking for a nice meal for myself and my wife while visiting orlando in june. We are not driving so are wondering how do we get to this restaurant. we are probably going to the the lynx 50 from seaworld to disney.

its at the contemporary resort, you can catch the monorail from the magic kingdom

hth:)

Hi

The Lynx bus drops you off next to the Transportation and Ticket Centre (TTC) which is where the monorails depart from. If you take the resort monorail (clockwise round the lake) it will stop at the Poly, Grand Floridian, MK then the Contemporary. If you catch the MK express monorail (anti-clockwise) you will be dropped at the MK where you can either pick up the resort monorail to double back to the Contemporary or actually walk to the Contermporary.

Cheers

So a denin mini-skirt would be ok? What about **** tubes - a top without straps? Was wondering because we would want to go there direct from the parks so would want to wear something that was good for the parks but ok for the dress code to.
