We will be dining at CG on my DD's 10th Birthday. It is also the day that my younger DD should be graduating pre-school- she is missing the graduation ceremony/party as we will be at Disney. DH and I wanted to do something extra special for both of them that evening and I have ordered a 6" Birthday Cake for DD10 and a slipper dessert as a 'congratulations' for my other DD. I keep wavering on the slipper dessert as DD is NOT a girly girl and while she'd love the chocolate dessert itself, I'd rather get her something something more 'her'. When speaking with the Contemporary Bakery, I wasn't reallty given any other options besides ordering another cake. I remember celebrating something many years ago at CG and they put a little "congratulations" thing on a dessert we ordered. Does anyone know if they still do that? I can't help but think DD would appreciate an off-the menu dessert more ( right now I see Strawberry Shortcake on there which she LOVES and I know she'd love the kid's sushi dessert as well) but I'd like to make it slightly more special for her than just ordering a dessert brought to the table. I don't want to take away from DD's 10th but I do want to recognize DD's graduation in a small way as well. Is my best bet to stick to ordering the slipper? Should I ask them to do a "congratulations" on a dessert she chooses (is this OK or even possible)? Any other ideas I am not thinking of? Thank you!!
