California Grill --> 8 PM ADR. 8 PM Wishes. How to approach this?

This is our situation at the end of November.

We obviously want to see Wishes. Should we arrive a bit before 8, check in, tell them we'll be outside watching the show, and hopefully be seated shortly after?

I'm sure this happens all the time for people that have ADRs at showtime. I'm guessing that we would likely have a 15 minute or so wait from our 8 PM ADR so it will be a moot point, but I don't want to upset anyone.

You've got it. Check in a few minutes before 8, tell the hostess you will be out on the deck watching the fireworks and they'll seat you after the show is over. There will be a mass exodus of people once the fireworks end. Lots of tables open up at that time. We had a post-fireworks ADR in October and we asked for a window table. Even though the fireworks were over, it was still fun to watch the castle change colors.

I would check in at least 15 mins before 8. There could be a wait to check in and last time there was a long wait to get into the elevator.

We had 9pm adr on xmas night 2 years ago and wished was at 9pm. We checked in at 8:45 and when we got to seating stand the took us to our table right away, but told us we could go to viewing balcony to watch or just stay at table(we had great view from our table. Half of us went out side and the others stayed at table. Servers are great and very accomodating .....Had a great meal and wonderful holiday viewing.
