California fires!

My BIL and SIL live in San Diego right in the midst of the fires. On Sunday they were evacuated then later they were allowed back home. Yesterday we had a phone call to say that they had both of their cars packed up and were waiting to be avacuated again. Apparently the fire is too close for comfort. My BIL said that the sky is orange and it looks like it is snowing!! We hope that the weather is going to change and the fire will be diverted from their home, but as of last night it was not looking good.

I hope all is OK with your family in CA. It is a lovely area and such a shame to see all the fires. My thoughts go out to those who have lost loved ones and also pets who have not survived. It is also heartbreaking to see the gorgeous houses that some people have spent a lifetime building up disappearing in minutes.

Oh Catherine - it must be very stressful for them. Where will they go if they have to evacuate?

San Diego is badly affected isn't it? It all looks very scary and I cannot imagine what it must be like for the firefighters.
