California Adventure to Naples restaurant in Downtown Disney

Can we exit California Adventure through the Grand Californian to get to our lunch reservation at Naples or would it be easier / quicker to just exit CA at the main entrance/exit to get there?

It would be easier to go out the main entrance so you don’t have to go thru security when you exit GCH into DTD.

True, but for a lunch time reservation, there won't be a line going into DtD.

OP, if you are near the Grand entrance to DCA when it's time to leave (Pixar Pier or the area around GRR/Soarin) go that way. If you are over by Hollywood land or Avengers Campus or Cars Land, go out the main entrance.

I just wondered if there would be crowds at the main entrance since it will be shortly after park hopping time. That's why I was considering another exit.

There is never a crowd to exit the parks midday. Don't worry about that.
