Why are the hours for CA so short? Since they don't open unitl 10:00 what do people do while waiting for it to open? Thanks

DCAs hours are shorter because there aren't as many attractions. The gates actually open at 9:30 and Soarin' is open at that time. A lot of people either wait until closer to opening time to get there or they park hop from DL if DL opens earlier. Or you could go into DTD for breakfast.

So we can actually enter DCA 30 mins early and start riding Soarin'? Are other rides open that early?

No Soarin' is the only attraction open during this "unadvertised" early opening. The shops in the Sunshine Plaza are also open during this time.

We were planning to do the Storytellers breakfast and then head into DCA. But we might do the Pacific Wharf cafe instead since you can get into the park earlier. Now I have two more questions.

1. Can you enter the park through the GC if you eat at Storytellers?

2. Is the Pacific Wharf Cafe open at 9:30?

No the Pacific Wharf area is not open until park opening. As for Storytellers, I believe unless you are staying at the Grand Californian you can no longer use the GC enterance for your first entry of the day. I have no first hand experience with this but this is something that I have heard. So you would have to go back through DTD to the main enterance.
