Well I have been to quite a few food places in DCA but cant not find one that I can say was great. I have tried the little resturant in the Grand Californian Hotel and I had a beef dip and it was I thnk around 124 and it came with just the sandwhich and dip but nothing else which is a rip. The pizza place they have there is alright imo and before I remeber there being a japanese food place to but im not sure if its still there . So if anyone has any reconmandations on places to try out there please tell me.

I'd give Whitewater Snacks another try. It's really good and one of the best food values in DLR. Even a kids' meal completely satisfies me (with plenty of leftover fries). The steak or chicken nachos are awesome and you can't beat the refillable drinks.

Pacific Warf Cafe has wonderful soups and salads in sourdough breadbowls. My favorite is the chicken salad. Yum!

There's a corn dog castle down by the Pier near Mulholland Madness. I personally can't stomach the things, but most people rave about them.

On top of that, We have...
Mcdonalds by Jumping Jellyfish. (Burgers)
Taste Pilots by Soaring (Burgers, Ribs, lots of BBQ stuff)
Award Wieners in Hollywood (Lots of different kind of hot dogs)
Turkey Leg Cart in Hollywoot (Turkey Legs and Tamales)

dont forget Churros :)

i thought there was a place that served pasta. we had the same pasta that was at pizzaport, just another name for it when we were there a few years back. it was the chicken pasta dish. is it still served there?

Food Choices in California Adventure? Isn't that park made up of restaurants?

I jest. ;)

Does this soup in the bread bowl place have Clam Chowder (Im from British Columbia canada and we usually drive to Anaheim and stop in San fransisco and usually have that clam chowder in a bread bowl there). Also is there any actual resturants in DCA (not the pizza place I mean actual sit down and waited on resturants).

There is only two in the whole park... 1) Ariel's Grotto and 2) The Winery.

We hesitated to eat at the Wine Country Trattoria because it sounded too hoity toity (yes that's a technical term) and not kid friendly, but one day in an act of desperation we finally relented and had lunch there. They were wonderful! Good food, good service, we loved it, and I would not hesitate to go back. (hmmmm...goes to see if it's time to make the PS call yet...)

What type of food do they have there at that wine country place

love the soup in the bread bowl!

That is on my list for my upcoming trip, I don't care it is 100 degress, I am going to get it, looked so good. Last year I did try the mexican fast food place, can't remember the name but that was good. :)

We went to Taste Pilots Grill last time we were there and LOVED it! The condoment bar is SO nice, and very fresh. This year we are going to try Whitewater Snacks. We have heard such wonderful things I just can't resist.

well im reading menus and i hate to say this but arriels gratos food dosent look good. i hate salid and soup and hope i can change my apitizer to something else.
and i havent found a food item i think would be good there..i was hopeing it would have sea food since its areorls groto made since to me..

We ate at Taste Pilot's Grill. The kids meals (hamburgers) didn't look terribly appetizing to me, but my boys loved them. I had BBQ ribs, and boy, were they good! :thumbsup2

We also ate at Whitewater Snacks, but I was a dolt and didn't realize they had hot foods until we'd already chosen boxed foods. I don't know if it was a quality control issue or what, but the boxed sandwich meals were TERRIBLE. The bread was all dried out, and the chocolate Mickey cookie was rock hard, so my DS6 couldn't even eat it. It was a huge disappointment for him. Next time we'll get hot food there, which I've heard good things about.

JadeDarkstar, the food at Ariel's Grotto is actually pretty good. I don't think you can get another appetizer because I don't think they have any other than soup and salad. But the cheesy onion soup is so good. I had the meatloaf, which was really good. I've also had the burger which was good. As far as seafood, they have fish and chips, salmon blt and a shrimp cobb salad (I know you said you don't like salad though). I'm sure you'll be able to find something you like.

ty i hope so we are going becouse of princess lol
but ya if nothing else fish and chips or burger..

I looove Taste Pilot. The burgers are great! I especially love the bleu cheese burger. :thumbsup2
