Cali Grill--We made Ressie for 4 but only 2 will show up.

We have our first trip in six years planned the first week of December. We are a family of four, and and I have ressies for all of us at Cali Grill. However, our adult son/daughter decided they wanted a "kid's" night out without Mom/Dad. Our son is on leave from the Marines and hasn't been home for a year--he and his sister are very close, and we think it's great. So, it will just be my DW and I showing up for a ressie of 4. Will this be an issue? Should we call ahead to explain? I tried to get a ressie just for two, but none were available our whole trip.

One other question--We've eaten there in the past. I happen to love the appetizers (especially flatbreads) and the desserts. Would it be tacky to make a dinner out of appetizers and desserts without the "main" course included?

If they can't adjust the ADR down, leave it as is. Who knows, maybe the kids will change their minds , if not, as long as someone goes you do not lose your deposit

I often prefer applies to entrees. Will often do exactly as you proposed, appies and desserts, sounds like a great date night to me!

Thank you so much. Especially, thank you for your well wishes for my son. He's (objectively, of course!) a great young man who has been accepted into the Marine Security Guard School to become an embassy guard. I couldn't be more proud.
