Calfornia Grill question...

A few years ago we went ate dinner there and though it was alright, if I am going to spend $100 for my wife and I to eat a meal, its going to be at a place like the Yachtman, Artist Point or a few others that we REALLY enjoy...

Now we are going back and my wife wants to watch fireworks from the California Grille... Is there a way to not eat, perhaps just a drink, that we can watch the fireworks from there????

You can go up to the floor the California grill is on and take an immediate left off the elevator and go around towards the back - and outside. You are not required to eat or drink there.

There is a viewing area off the fourth floor too according to lots of folks.

I personally think WISHES is much better if it's centered around the castle. We saw it from the CG in November and while our dinner was great, I liked WISHES better from the Polynesian where we were staying. I understand it's best from the park itself but another idea is to see it from the ferry or even just the ferryboat dock.

But yes, you could just go up and order a drink. It tends to be very congested around fireworks time though.

We are staying at WL, is there a way we can view the fireworks from the Poly????? A certain spot that you would suggest???

I'm sure it's wonderful from 'Ohanna. You could also get a drink and/or appetizers from Tambu lounge next to 'Ohanna and see WISHES from the same floor to ceiling windows. Or grab a drink and head down to the beach area. The music was only being piped in near the pool when we were there...not the quiet areas of the beach.
