Calfornia Grill ADR at 8Pm!!!

On our last night for our trip in March we have an ADR for 8pm at California Grill. Wishes is at 10pm that night. Couple of questions:

1. Will we still be seated for dinner when Wishes starts? Or do we need to stretch the meal?

2. We are staying at Beach Club Villas, will we be able to take the Monrail back to Epcot and walk back to Beach Club or do we need to take the bus from MK or a cab?

3. Will my 11 year old boy and 8 year old girl like the menu, etc? Should I maybe get them childcare that night?

Whether you are still seated or not depends on how many courses you order and how quickly you eat them. There are only about 4 tables with good views of the fireworks from the tables- most people go out onto the deck (which starts getting crowded about 1/2 an hour before fireworks time). Unless you happen to be seated at one of the few tables that you can see the fireworks from you may want to finish your meal before the fireworks start anyway.

You willnot be able to walk through Epcot after it is closed- if you are going on a night when Epcot has EMH then you can use the monorail otherwise plan on a different way back to the Beach Club.

You should look at the menu to decide if your children would like the food. It depends on what they eat and if they can handle sitting through a long meal.

Timing for fireworks also involves you being seated at 8:00. In fact, it might be a bit later if they are running behind.
Just to add that our meals at CG usually take an hour and a half--sometimes a bit longer.
I think an 8:00 time for the 10:00 fireworks should work out just fine!!

I too have ADR at 8pm during xmas week. Glad to hear it is a good time although if you finish dinner a little early I understand you can go back for wishes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

you can go back up if you have an adr at a time not coinciding with the fireworks. they simply ask you to show your dining receipt as proof before they let you go back up.

You can go back up if you finish early, but a meal there takes awhile if you do it right.

What day in March are you going? We have an ADR in March too!

And just as an aside... you would need to make sure to have a valid park ticket. This means having a park hopper if you have already used that day's entrance.

Note: this is only if Epcot is actually open. Otherwise no one gets in.
