Agreed. 3 different posters were given 3 different, written, cancellation terms. This place seems like a hot mess. Clearly the hired management is either not given enough support staff to work out these problems or CBS hired poorly.

I'm confused. Is 2 people having afternoon tea considered a private event? Here’s the contract that came with my afternoon tea reservation for a party of 2.

I just checked. The current price Eloise tea is.,$110 per child under 12. The cost for adult after noon tea without wine and without caviar,.is.$155.. I took my daughter to the Eloise tea at the Plaza hotel in NYC and didn't have to put down a deposit or sign any contracts. This is bonkers!
The presentation for Afternoon Tea is different, but I assume you already knew the answer since you've been to Eloise tea. Agreed the contract is unusual. Maybe they'll drop it in the near future. Why can't people just order tea, a variety of desserts and a few sandwiches to share instead? It seems like that would be a lot less hassle, money, and risk than signing a contract like this. Calling it a contract may be unusual. Having large cancellation penalties is not unusualThe presentation for Afternoon Tea is different, but I assume you already knew the answer since you've been to Eloise tea. Agreed the contract is unusual. Maybe they'll drop it in the near future.

I suppose "private event" is more of a mis-labeling than a literal proposition. They're treating it like a dinner show, which it isn't either.I'm confused. Is 2 people having afternoon tea considered a private event?

Skip if you must but August 2025 is a looooooong time from now.I was excited to visit when we are in Disney in Aug 25, but think we will give it a miss which is a shame.
Very true! We might feel differently by then.Skip if you must but August 2025 is a looooooong time from now.
Over or under....you wind up booking the tea after you arrive at WDWA tad perturbed as the mother of the 6 y/o guest already informed her daughter of the NY Day afternoon tea but we all have our style of parenting. Sigh.
I have had it before and it’s pretty bland.I'm sorry...did I read something about coconut cake?
They also make a seasonal coconut cake with layers of passionfruit curd (my personal favorite).I'm sorry...did I read something about coconut cake?
Did you check MDE? I was able to make a reservation for my trip when they loaded them yesterday, and my trip is in the same timeframe as yours.I’m cancelling my tea “event” as the administrative offices of the eatery are still getting their act together and it’s fine if they do it w/o me.
Thought I’d just switch to a regular ADR but they are not accepting reservations for more than a month in advance. Perhaps after Thanksgiving things will have calmed down and order reign.

Did you have to wait long in line?Stopped by the bakery last night - magic bar was omg perfection, red velvet cake was fab, but the bottom layer was drier than the rest. Overall, yum. Headed back tomorrow for millionaire’s cake. Head’s up, though - sone of the cakes, millionaire’s included, are going away Dec 4 to allow for a holiday menu that I was told includes chocolate espresso. Also confirmed, they will offer coconut cake (), timing TBD.
Looks like everything except a few late night times have been booked for the next several weeks. Sure happened quickly.Did you check MDE? I was able to make a reservation for my trip when they loaded them yesterday, and my trip is in the same timeframe as yours.
Yes if you use MDE or the My Plans section of the Disney web interface you can book up to January 13th on a rolling 60 day schedule. If you link an on-site reservation it will be 60 day +10.Thought I’d just switch to a regular ADR but they are not accepting reservations for more than a month in advance.
Well Thanksgiving week is coming up quickly and CBS is the new hot ticket (not sure it is deserved just yet) and we don't know how many ADR seating times are actually loaded into the system. December is booking fast.Looks like everything except a few late night times have been booked for the next several weeks. Sure happened quickly.
