Trip Report Day #6

10 day trip (Dec. 11th to Dec. 20th)

Friday Dec. 16th

Originally Friday was scheduled as another EPCOT day but since we checked the weather for the upcoming weekend the forecast was not looking good for Sunday which was scheduled for our MGM day. So we changed Friday to our MGM Studios day.
We were very lucky to change our Fantasmic Package at Hollywood and Vine from Sunday to Friday. As usual Katie and I wake up early and make it to MGM Studios via bus just as the gates are opening. For breakfast we each grabbed a muffin and milk before heading off to Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster. We grabbed a fasspass for TOT and proceeded to ride RNRC twice in a row. Then we went next door to use our TOT fasspasses. For lunch we ate at the SciFi Drive-in. Katie and I shared a burger and fries. I don’t remember the exact order but here is the attractions we enjoyed : Star Tours, Lights-Motors-Action, Great movie ride, and Millionaire Play-it. It was almost time for us to meet up with my parents at 4pm for our Fantasmic Package dinner at Hollywood and Vine. The food was very enjoyable for a buffet. We then watched Fantasmsic via the package. All worked out just fine. After Fantasmic we toured the Osbourne Family of lights. Which is not to be missed. After the lights we headed back to the resort.

If you have any questions, let me know.
Day #7 of 10 to come soon.

Enjoyed reading your reports ~ Thanx for posting.

How was LMA??? Sadly, we missed it. You were lucky to switch your Fantasmic Package!

LIghts, motors, action was really good. The only drawback is that it's a show and there is only three times it plays per day. So you basically have to schedule your day around one of those times. When riding the Backlot tour later in the afternoon, the last showing of LMA was going on and we got to see the cars and stuntmen preparing behind the LMA facade.

We were lucky to change the fantasmic package. I was really supprised when I went downstairs to the guest relations counter that there was actually any spot open that evening, and to top it off the same exact time we had schedule previously for sunday. Just a side note, the night we went eat at Boatwrights, that morning we tried to get reservations for Mexico at EPCOT but all spots were booked up so we decided to try Boatwrights. Being from Louisiana the food wasn't all that bad. The gumbo was a little thick for our taste. We had steaks with the chipotle cream sauce on top. That was pretty good.
