Im very excited about this June 10 the cafe orleans will reopen with a completely different atmossphere. If youve been there before you remember it was buffetr stlye with very little choices now its gunna open up as a very nice sit down restaurant with a brand new menu. I think this is a great idea especially for fantasmic fand fireworks. New orleanes has alot down right now but come june itll all be good again

Yes, I called yesterday and it is on track to open 6/10! However they are still not set up for PS and will be taking walk-ins at first. I keep calling trying to make PS-lol-one of these days they will say "Yes"!

Is there a menu and price list posted somewhere? We aren't going until September, but am trying to plan a few sit-down places to eat during our stay.

I dont think the new menu is out yet. I know that in the last ap newsletter it mentioned a new take on a Monte Cristo sandwich, and some other regional type dishes.

Oh shoot, I'll just miss it.

Well, I guess that's just another reason to make another trip to DL in the future. I'll miss Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans and Pirates this time, but I'll catch up to them next time!

When is the Cafe Orleans going to open? My husband was DL today and said it's still closed. I can't wait to try it!!

I am excited to try Cafe Orleans as well. We are going to DL at the end of June. And trying the Monte Cristo sandwich is a top priority for dh and I. lol

French Onion Soup Sautéed sweet-onion medley in a traditional broth with melted Swiss cheese cup 4.99

New Orleans Gumbo A rich, flavorful stew with chicken, andouille sausage and tasso ham, served with Cajun-style "dirty rice" cup 4.99

Pommes Frites Traditional Parisian-style potatoes, lightly fried and tossed with Parmesan cheese, garlic and parsley, served with a Cajun spice aioli 4.99

La Salade de Maison Our Cafe Orleans signature house salad, featuring tossed baby greens in a raspberry vinaigrette, topped with cherry tomatoes, crumbled goat cheese and caramelized pecans. C'est bon! 5.99
