All of these sound interesting, but am wondering are these sit down places where you have a server come by (i.e need to tip) or are they counter service?

Frankly, I want to avoid sit down places so i don't have to figure out who owes what on the check, tipping and the longer time to eat.

Also, has anyone eaten at any of these? Any comment? I heard that the Godlen Horseshoe had a show also. Anyone know how you order food during the show? Does a server come around, do you order beforehand?

Cafe Orleans is sit down and wait.

Rancho you stand in lines, get your food, stand in a line to pay, and go eat.

I do not know about the Golden Horseshoe.

Golden Horseshoe is counter service. You also do not have to eat there to enjoy a show. They serve fish and chips, fries etc. (and a really dangerous mile high chocolate cake!! That's what we had!!!;) )

I used to love Rancho del Zocalo, but they changed their menu last time I was there (November) and I didn't like the new menu as much. It was mexican, but I like a more "basic" mexican. I thought the new menu was trying to hard ;)

I've eaten at Rancho del Zocalo with a picky 11-year-old girl. We both love the enchiladas. You get 4 of them with rice and beans. She eats close to 3 of them and the beans and I eat mine plus her lettuce and salsa. That's one of her favorite places to eat. I haven't tried the other stuff they have.

Hi Jenn,:wave2:
Well, to answer your questions, you would need to eliminate Cafe Orleans. But that said, it is our favorite restaurant in both parks! But it is wait(ress) served and requires a tip. The other two, you order, pay and eat. No tipping. Just wanted to say that if you do eat at the Horseshoe to catch to Billy and the Hillbilly show. It is our favorite show in the park and not to be missed. Be sure to get there about an hour early. Grab a good table, order and eat your food and enjoy the show - you will not regret it! Have a great vacation.:)
