A group of friends and I are going to Paris for a couple of weeks in Early September. We have decided to spend my 29th B-day in Disneyland Paris. We are a group of 28-35 year old women. We are looking for a lunch restaurant. We like the characters, but also like good food. If we do Cafe Mickey is there a time that the characters come by more often (IE - we are coming in from Paris, so are likely to want a later lunch - closer to 1:30-2:00). Will the characters still be there? If we do Cafe Mickey, should we make reservations for early September or will it be walk-up?

Is there something better to try?

Hello :goodvibes

If you are looking at character lunches in the week/day you don't have a great choice and I would not say any of them offer great food.

You have Café Mickey which is great for character interaction - I know they start coming around 12.30 but no idea till when at lunch - but food is pizza, pasta, steak based

Then there is the Cowboy Cook Out Barbecue which is glorified counter service with characters and country style music

And finally the Auberge de Cendrillon which is meet and greet with the Princesses/Princes

which is fancier food but you can do much much better in Paris alone

Have a look through the restaurant pages and do a search in the latest TR for up to date reviews photos

For the better food in the park at lunch time you have Walt's

Latest menus are in post 113

and a lot of people like Blue Lagoon

latest menus in post 62

but they are no characters in either of them

Hth :)

ps- If you were just 1 or 2 I wouldn't bother but I'd reserve now as if you are a group to be on the safe side and to be sure to get the time and place that you want.

at lunchtime, the characters are present at Cafe Mickey from around noon until around 3pm every day. For a group, I'd advise booking in advance.
