My folks ducked into a store while I was taking pics. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Epcot wet. As many times as we go, it rarely ever rains while we're there. Guess it's the times of year we go at that doesn't have much rain fall.
Mom perused the merchandise while I went to the front of the store for more pics.
We ventured back out into the rain to go ride Maelstrom. Cady seemed to be awake when we left the store, but alas! she was asleep when we got to Norway. I volunteered to stay out with her, but Mom told us to go and she'd sit at the bakery. Dad and I were off to the Maelstrom!
We talked to two Norwegian girls for a minute, letting them know we like their country but don't always stay for the movie
We actually did watch the movie on the last day, but that is for later.
We found Mom and Cady at the bakery. Cady was awake now!
You could see the sun setting in the distance as we made our way to the front.
Since we still had time, we decided to ride Spaceship Earth, which became Cady's first ride!!!
As we were getting out of the buggies, Mom somehow dropped our brand new Disney umbrella onto the conveyor belt thingy that moves the buggies. We thought all was lost, but the CM helping people off the ride stopped the ride immediately and got it for us!
As I was taking the pic of him, dumby me forgot that I was on a conveyor belt too and tripped backwards onto the floor. LOL! I didn't fall or anything, but I thought it was rather funny because the helpful CM was all worried looking and trying to get us to leave because we kept sticking around telling him thank you.
That was the end of our park time on our 1st day. BUT the day isn't over yet. We still had to get our room and haul all the baggage there.
