Howdy y'all!!!!! Since I realized FDH and I are going to be on our Disney honeymoon for the release day of The Hobbit :wizard: I thought, since we're huge geeks, we'd go to the midnight opening at the theater in DTD. We're staying at POFQ so getting TO DTD shouldn't be a problem. We'll being going earlier in the evening using the boat and eating dinner there etc, but my concern is coming back at ~3am (Tolkien movies are long!, thankfully I'm sane and made our "rest and lay about and do bascially nothing except have our V&A's dinner day" the day after we do this). Will we be able to get a cab that late? That's even after closing time at a lot of bars, and we have no car. I wouldn't think this would be an issue in a tourist area, but I wanted to check. Thanks Dis'ers!

I believe there's a cabstand in close proximity to the DTD AMC 24, but I'm not sure how many cabs there are going to be at that hour. Though, there may be people slowly making their way out of Raglan Road and other establishments who need transportation.

I believe you can book a taxi online with Mears or call them and have them pick you up at DTD. There are usually Mears cabs around Disney property because people are moving about at all hours, and if it's a quiet night, I'm sure they'll be thrilled to have another fare.

If the theater is still open, there should still be busses running.
