Cabins under the fitness center on the Dream yay or nay?

We originally booked an aft extended balcony on the Dream through our travel agent.
Disney then posted VGT staterooms with a savings of $600. This will be our first cruise and I am trying to convince my dh that cruising is a good idea.
Now I am regretting the fact we changed our category as we were assigned a cabin on deck 10 under the fitness center and looking at you tube videos and reading others comments about this cabin I am worried about the tiny veranda and the noise from the fitness center.
Dh and Ds are both light sleepers and late risers.
Should I be worried...could I ask to be moved?

I've had two deck 10 cabins on the Dream-class ships. One of them, which I've stayed in twice, is below Cabanas. I've never heard any morning noise in that cabin. The other was a bit closer to midship and I definitely heard pool chairs moving around in the morning. The noise wasn't that bad, though. I could definitely sleep through it and I don't sleep through much. If you're super worried, consider bringing some ear plugs! That's how my wife sleeps through pretty much everything.

The verandah should be the same as any others, though. Why do you say that it's tiny?

I wouldn't stress about it. A Dream cruise is 3 or 4 nights, and you probably are not going to be in the room enough for any minor noise issues to drive you crazy. Imo being under the fitness center is better than being under the pool deck.

Your verandah will be no smaller than any other normal verandah. An extended verandah would have been bigger, but those also come with drawbacks, such as people being able to look down on you as you lounge on your verandah; kids dropping/throwing things onto your verandah; and being so far aft that vibrations are sometimes felt in the stateroom for extended periods. Being forward, vibrations won't be an issue (although you will feel more movement), and you'll be right next to the adult areas on the ship: the spa, the fitness center, the adult pool deck & hot tubs, Satellite Falls, etc. And your verandah will be shaded by the overhang on the deck above, which is a plus imo.
