Just wondering if anyone can tell me how warm the cabins are at DCR. What form of heating is in there?

Has anyone else stayed here in Winter?
We're going for a few days over Christmas and so are busy stocking up on thermals etc for the parks but now wonder how warm the actual cabins are.

There is an electric convector heater in the main living quarters. Can't recall if there were any in the bedrooms :)

We went in March 06 and it was really cold while we were there-i think it was about 4/5 degrees most of the time, the first day we were worried about leaving the heaters on during the day so the cabinwas pretty chilly when we got back but after that we left them on full all day and came back to lovely toasty cabin-they are really cosy once the heatings on- i think there was a heater in the lounge area and one in the bedroom as well
Hope that helps
liz

Thanks to you both. Thats helped especially the reminder to leave the heater on all day.
The thought of walking into a freezing cabin after a freezing day in the parks doesnt appeal at all. The thought of a lovely warm cabin waiting for us sounds much better.

I intend to pack hot water bottles as well as a jar of hot choc and cuppa soups
