Cabin Ready ?

hey all!

i have a quick question for you - i will be sailing the disney wonder for the first time in october - i often see people say something such as "and then our cabin was ready so we went to check that out" . . . i was wondering how do you know when your cabin is ready? is it posted somewhere? do you just keep checking on it?

The general time for cabins to be ready is 1:00 pm. So if you board at 12:00 you would not be able to go to your cabin until 1:00. It will also be posted in your handout that you get when you check in.

In the past if you happened to go to your cabin earlier and it was ready or near ready your cabin steward may have let you drop off your carry ons in the cabin but DCL now how many cabin hallways roped off so people cannot do this. The crew has a huge job to get the ship ready for the oncoming guests...figure everyone has to be off the ship by 9:00 am and then the new guests board at 12:00....the cabin stewards need all the time they can get to get the cabins ready.

We last sailed in February and most of the cabin hallways were r oped off until 1:00pm.

On our earlier cruises we were able to get into our rooms almost immediately, but I have noticed on the last two that they keep the hall roped off until around 1230-100. If you board early, though, this is a great time to explore the ship with fewer crowds. Also...you need all of that time to eat as much peel and eat shrimp as you can from the lunch bar! UmUmGood!

On our last cruise, July 8th, 2004, the rooms weren't ready till 1:30 and they were roped off till then also.

In May ours were not ready until after 1:30 & the hall was roped off.
