cabin 6556 and 6060 on Magic

Anyone stayed in these rooms? I have a choice between the two...thought since 6556 is near connecting rooms, there may be more noise over there. Also, 6556 has those "white bars" that I read something (but I'm not sure what) about on these boards before. Any difference in one side of the ship over the other? Would love to hear from anyone whose been in those rooms!

One of those is our favorite rooms! But I can't say which one or everyone else will reserve them! Seriously though, we've stayed in 6060, 6056, 7546, and 8066. My least favorite of them all was 8066. Too far from midship and easy access to stairs and kids' clubs. No problem with noise in the deck 6 or 7 rooms, whereas the deck 8 room was noisy at times from the pool decks above. In fact, sitting on the verandah I always heard some sort of noise from above (chairs scraping, people walking, etc) As for side of the ship, it seems like the starboard side is USUALLY the side facing Castaway Cay, but that is not guaranteed.

well...we're going on the West Coast cruise....so Castaway Cay isn't a concern. But I wish I knew more about the West Coast ports!

6556 can't be beat - it was my favorite (we downgraded ourselves to a Cat 9 on the 2nd cruise and still enjoyed it, but I simply LOVED the location of the Cat 6).

Do a search on 6556 and you will see nothing but positive comments!

We were in 5658 last year for the Magic Western. Loved it. Our first time with a verannda. Close to everything. Have a great trip.

We were in 6554 and it was wonderful!! We even commented that on future DCL cruises we want the same exact cabin. It is in an excellent location ... midship and very convenient to everything! Ours was a connecting room (with 6552) and our friends were in the other cabin, but even then we heard very little from them. Our other friends were in 6556 and we never heard anything from their cabin at all and they said they couldn't hear us.

We've stayed in 6060. We loved it. VERY midship...very convenient. No complaints!

Great location, right near the stairs/elevators. Mid ship and Starboard side was great for the docking days. Parents stayed in 6554 and friends stayed in 6548 and others stayed in 6562. You won't be sorry, go for 6556.
