DD has been seeing commercials for this doll, Baby So Real. She insists she wants one for Christmas. I looked it up and that doll is $100!!!

If we get it for her, it will be her big santa gift. I just can't help remembering that last Christmas she just had to have a doc mcstuffins petvet center. Its all she wanted from Santa. She has barely played with it (I'm glad i got it on sale!)

With theae dolls being cabbage patch kids, I can see them selling out, especially the blonde one she wants. So I'm hesitant to wait for it to go on sale.

Anyone have one of these yet? Are they worth the $$?

ETA: DD is 4, which is why I'm not crazy about the idea of spending $100 on a doll, but at the same time I want to make sure she gets her big santa gift.

Babyland General is not far from my mountain cabin in Dahlonega. We paid a $119 adoption fee for one of these last weekend. Personally, I do not think that it was worth the money, however, a certain four-year-old thinks that it is worth everything that is on my plastic card. While it is $20 more, you may have more choices when buying directly from Babyland General and I don't think you pay sales tax if you are not in Georgia. This baby burps and laughs when you tickle it. The eyes are LCD. They blink and move.

QVC sells it. Item #T34056. It's $99.95 on two easy payments. I believe that doll was presented during one of there "Christmas in July" or other Christmas shows. If that's the case, you can probably still get their Christmas return policy which is even if you buy now, you can return it until January 31, 2017. If you have a Q card, you can get more easy pays, like 3 easy payments (maybe 4) and I think there is a $10 discount to be had.

Doting grammie here. Of course they aren't worth it, but seeing a four year old's eyes light up on Christmas morning is definitely worth a hundred bucks. If you can do it without financial strain I'm voting yes.

Personally I would not wait if you want to get it for her. DD is way past dolls and such but I know from experience that the toy she wanted when she was little was always the toy that sold out in no time flat for the holidays. Then you will see them on Ebay or Amazon for 3x the original price.
