Cabana rental at the Poly

Has anyone rented one of the poolside patios at the Oasis pool at the Poly? I just reserved a half day for $42.60 because I didn't want to run the risk of them getting booked. I can cancel up to one day before. I'm going at the end of June and was thinking that if it was crowded, it would be nice to have a reserved shaded area to relax in, especially since it will be hot. If anyone has experience with the poolside patio rentals, I'd appreciate your feedback. Was it worth it?

I called Member Services and asked because I couldn't find any information online. The half day price of $42.60 is for either 10a-2p or 3p-7p. The full day price from 10a-7p is $63.90. They are called the Oasis Poolside Patios. From reading other posts, it sounds like the price was cheaper when they started charging for these. I thought I read that it was $42.60 for the full day. They are just shaded areas with tables/chairs. No additional amenities like drinks. You have up until the day before to cancel. All she gave me was a reservation # which is frustrating because I would expect a company like Disney to be able to provide an email confirmation with details of exactly what I'm reserving.

She said that I had to check-in 15 minutes before my time (10a). I told her that I had breakfast reservations at Ohana at 9a and may not make it at 9:45. Since I had it reserved from 10a-2p, why couldn't I show up at 10:30? She didn't know the answer but recommended that I check in with the concierge desk to ask or to let them know that I may be arriving late. I was surprised that they had any availability which made me wonder if nobody finds any value in reserving something like this.

As mentioned - just covered areas but not real shady unless you pull the seating back outside from them. They are not the most appealing "cabanas" IMO.
