CAA South Central Ontario - Best Agent needed to Book 2010 Trip Please!

Hi all

I was wondering if any of you had booked a trip with a CAA agent recently? I have booked my last 2 trips with them(as they thend to be cheaper) but I am never satisfied with the agent I am working with. They take forever to call back or answer to my emails and I seem to know wayyyyy more then them...

Any of you could recommend me a great agent they have worked with and who knew Disney? Any CAA SCO on this board who would be willing to communicate their coordinates with me so I could reach them and we could start planning (I can't wait!!!)?

I don't know if I can help but I can tell you who I wouldn't recommend. But I'll tell me story first. We booked our first 2 WDW trips with our local CAA rep who was AWESOME - a really Disney expert! But in April, our CAA office closed along with many others. So I decided to call CAA and give it a try. I dealt with an agent named Tish. Now, it should be noted that I was directed via their phone system to some who specializes in Disney. Not!

She kept trying to upsell me first of all. I knew what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend so this was frustrating. She did NOT make ADR's for her clients - I had to make my own. I wasn't used to this as my other CAA agent did it for me. Fine I can learn to do this. (And I did a great job but we'll see how well next week!)

She booked my stay for 5 nights instead of six. She corrected it.

She booked us at Sports instead of Music. She corrected it.

At the 45 day mark, I knew that there might be cancellations for the ASMu Family Suites. I emailed her 2 d before the 45 day mark requesting that she check for Suite availability. I heard no response. No response the next day. On the thrid day I emailed her again. The next day I got an email saying " she would let me know when my package arrives". ?!??#?@?! I wasn't asking where my reservation package was. I was asking to see if there were any cancellation for ASMu Family Suites!!!! I emailed her back right away but knew that there was no chance. Too many days had passed. Surprise, no suites. Ugh.


I guess my recommendation would be to chat with the Diseny CAA agent you get and see how much they really know. Posting here is a great idea. But I am fairly sure I will NOT be booking my next Disney stay through CAA.

Great story CanadianPaco. I've read many similar stories on here about CAA and their 'supposed' Disney Specialists.

But in April, our CAA office closed along with many others.

I didn't know that. What a shame.

My suggestion to the OP would be to use a real Disney Specialist instead. Such as Dreams Unlimited (the owner of these boards). Or if you want to deal locally, simply google search Disney Specialist for Ontario.

You won't believe this but I also dealt with Tish last year... and something similar happened !!

I am still hoping for a name but the names of who not to use are also useful!
I might also give it a shot with DreamsUnlimited... I am not sure yet!

Sorry I can't help either as unfortunately I too was NOT impressed with my CAA agent. My first Disney trip almost 20 yrs ago used them and was not impressed...tried them again 5 yrs ago...same poor results...now I control everything myself and am way happier....

There is a Canadian travel agency that specializes in Disney..I believe they are in Brampton called Fairytale Dreams ..I have heard good things about them....

We work with Krista Jenkins out of the Welland CAA office and I can't say enough about her - she is excellent and we do most things via e-mail or phone. She couriers our package to my local CAA office for me to pick up there. Give her a try if Southwestern Ontario works for you.

Is there a way you could send me your agent coordinate via email or something? As you could have noticed from the previous postings, not a lot of us were as lucky as you were with the CAA service you got.
