First off, i use CAA for the discount, and i like to be able to go walk into a local office and ask questions, be able to pick up my tickets etc. I am looking for CAA that is knowledgeable Disney in Burlington/Hamilton/S.C area. My previous CAA agent was excellent but gone :sad1:

Now i asked for another agent that is knowledgeble about Disney. Are they commisioned because they certainly don't seem interested in booking anything for me. No i am not a pest, but i email and don't receive a reply for 2 weeks. :scared1: I want to be able to book a ASMu suite for 2008 Jan now. Can i call the 1800 # and ask for a Disney Agent thorugh CAA?
or will they refer me to my local location??? I have asked if i will be able to add the dining/tickets/ or even change the hotel later on after reserving room only, but they never asked that question. I don't want to book only to find out, later i am stuck or i can't changes in dates or location.

thanks for letting me VENT!::cheer2:

Hi I use Vicki or Johnna in Burlington both are great ...Vicki last year johnna this year as vicki was away when i booked message me private if you want more info

disneyfan2,yes they are commissioned and you would think that they are eager to get your business but with online discount companies these days you'd be surprised how many consumers go into their office get the info they want and then book online. No excuse for not getting back to you...I would find another agent. Is there a substantial savings by booking with your caa agent?? I find booking with Disney direct (especially on the hotel) to be my best deal. Airline can be found on many sites and booked on your own these days. You will get an online confirmation on your hotel from disney if booked direct and your park tickets will be sent to you before your departure. Mousesavers web site also offers some fabulous discount codes for your car rental. Good luck whatever you decide!

i would like to consider doing it on my own, but would hate to forget something like reserving MEARS transportation. I can only book room only right now, so i guess i may as well try on my own :scared1:

What about travel/cancellation insurance. do i book that on my own from any carrier, or can i also do that through disney??

Anything else i need to know?

I'de be happy to help. I've booked 3 trips to disney on my own to date and was a travel agent for 10 years prior to my daughter coming into our lives.

Althought I use aeroplan for my airiline tickets, as far as insurance is concerned if your booking through Air Canada they will ususally ask if you want insurance,however it is not alway required as most tickets can be re-booked if you can't make your trip. There is usually a change fee involved so you need to find out the details with the airline of the worst case scenario loss involved and then purchase insurance based on that.

Hotel. If you book hotel only through Disney you can cancel up until the day of arrival so no insurance is required.

Car rentals can be reserved and canceled at any time. Try mousesavers for discount codes. We've had really good luck with Alamo. Unless you prefer transfers and then all you have to do is give them your flight information. Note if you book direct with disney you have the opportunity for free transfers round trip.

We purchase park tickets direct from Disney. They will send you your tickets (credit card type passes) . We ususally book these about 6 weeks before we travel so that we don't have to pay to far in advance. Although these are non refundable you can use them on any trip should this one need to be cancelled.

Hope this helps a little bit! I guess you can tell I'm totally Disney obsessed!!!

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
