CA worth going to during construction?

Would like to go back to DL & CA this summer (July). Looking on the internet at pictures of all the construction going on at CA, and wondering if it would be worth going back. Looks like construction walls are everywhere, blocking off huge parts of the park. Just wondering how fun it would be walking through colored walls to get to rides. Looks like the construction walls are taking away from the Disney atmosphere. Has anyone been there recently and is it worth the big admission price to spend the day at CA? Or would it be your recommendation to wait another year? Thanks for input.

Just my personal opinion of course:

If I had park hoppers, it's definitely worth it. I like Soarin', Screamin', Grizzly, Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Midway Madness. I also like some of the restaurants there. PLUS, if you're going in July, WOC will (should) be up and running. I would not, however, just pay for a one day-one park ticket and use it for DCA, but it's definitely worth hopping over to during the course of your trip.

Definitely worth it! By summer the construction walls around the lagoon will be gone and the new World of Color show will be running.

We were there last week and my husband did make the joke, "Do we get a discount for all the construction?" but honestly most of the rides were up and running. We did not feel we were missing much. We enjoy CA and usually spend part of every day at this park.

It's definitely worth it. I was there in March and September of '09 and the construction walls really didn't do much to damper the experience. I actually kind of like that the walls over in DCA are kind of decorated and enjoyed taking a curious look-see at them. If you're already going to have park-hoppers, definitely don't skip out on DCA simply because of the walls. Remember there is a new nighttims show that will be starting in May/June called World of Color that should be worth seeing.

BTW, if you're planning on being at DLR in September, you should stop by the July Check-In thread ;)

Sounds like we're good to go in July! Glad the atmosphere is still there!

More questions:
Is the main entrance under construction yet?
Is Hollywood blocked off due to the new trolly rails being added?
Thanks.

Good choice! I was there not too long ago and the main entrance wasn't under construction yet, but the street to Hollywood was blocked, but both sidewalks were open along with the shops and food places.

Thank you for the update. Hollywood street is one of my favorites at CA. Nice to know we have access on both sides. Thanks again.
