Wake-up time: 7am, even though I didn't have to be awake until whenever. I spent a lot of the morning uploading pics. Around 830am or so, it was time to head to the beach. The beach is literally a 5 min car drive from my uncle's place.
The beach was not yet crowded, but would become so later in the day. It was me, my dad, my stepmom, my aunt, and my three non-blood cousins at this time. Some of my aunt's friends had already found a great spot.
The surf was amazing. I had never seen such awesome surf before. This beach was also very clean, putting Cocoa beach to shame. Compared to Huntington, Cocoa is junk. Several of the waves decimated me when I went to boogeyboard. D'oh. I let my dad have a try on the board, and he did better than I did! He caught waves and went flying, whereas I got pummeled by waves. Apparently I was going out too far.
I would be in and out of the water, taking pics (of course)and even checking out the festivities by the pier. There was a surf&skate event with vendors, but there was not much free stuff being given out.
I went back to the tent (tents are used more than umbrellas) and before long, my uncle and two of my cousins would show up. With food. Yay, free lunch! After lunch, I went back in. The tide was different, so the waves were stronger. I caught some great waves and wiped out some people accidentally. Sorry!! The rip tide was fierce.
We packed up by 3p to prepare for the evening. Yes, another BBQ. This one would be hamburgers and hotdogs. Ick. There was a walmart run done, and I picked up my much needed rechargeable batteries. They're taking waaay too long to charge, though.
The BBQ was uneventful. Many of the people from Saturday were there today.
It was good to have a relaxing day. Tomorrow I head for DisneyLand!
