CA Grill or Yachtsman Steakhouse

Should we splurge and do both?
Which is all-around better?

Both are good, but they are just different. I wouldn't call one of them "all-around better" than the other. I personally prefer the Yachtsman because I like their menu better. You can look at sample menus at

Neither are my favs but of the two I would pick Yachtsman. California Grill was noisy, the sushi was bad, the ginger was old, it just wasn't all that. The best steak on property however is at Jiko with mac & cheese and red wine reduction.

the last several times we visited california grill we were disappointed. the yachtsman was good, but i have to agree~jiko is the best steak on property.

We just got back this past week and we thought CG was the best we had ever experienced! We had noticed a decline in the past few years but we gave it another shot and boy were we glad! Even DD (2) ate all her goldfish and pizza! We agreed it was our best meal of the trip! We have been known to frequent JIKO as well. Yachtsman was on the list this time but we had to leave early!

I agree CF grill would be a more fun experience for your group. We ate at both restaurants last week and had equally great meals at both restaurants. Our sushi at CF was excellent.

We prefer CG over YS!
