Sorry for the double post, but I am getting upset again. I checked the menu on this site, and they now have all the sushi choices under entree's. Like I am going to use 2 points on a $15 sushi entree. This is INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'll spend mine on the $11 three cheese selection.

Oh well, I will get some halibut or snapper.

That's funny. Allearsnet lists it differently. I'd call Disney dining and ask to be connected with the restaurant itself to get clarification.

Allears' menu is dated May 2007. The one listed on DIS is dated August 2007.

Can't wait to get there and find out what the deal is. The cheese thing especially has me going

Is cheese an entree?

Welcome to the free dining period.

It will be like this until the end of September.

What are you talking about? I have been to Disney for the past two dining periods i do not recall any menu changing for just the "free dining" period and then they return the old menu. I do remember them changing the spoodles menu definatly for the worse, but it stayed that way. I am getting irritated like everyone else. It is frustrating to plan out your adr's months in advance only to have them change the menu a month before you leave. I have been looking forward to using my 2 ts for narcosees, yes to get Lobster! I otherwise would choose Citricos or choose two other restaurants. I think it is too late now! What are ya gonna do??:sad2:

I agree !!

I was on free dining last year and followed the boards. I did have steak selections last year. This IMO has nothing to do with free dining , THe Spoodles menu has also been dumbed back.
Disney is gearing up maybe early for the 2008 changes. It will save them even more money. They are smart to do it now as it will be less obvious to guests in January. Some think the menus will change back! I didn't see this last year and I have follwed th menus from last year as I printed them.
Just another cost saving :teacher:

Well, this one is interesting. They haven't changed the menu or removed anything from it. If the one posted is the one they're using, they've reconfigured it. This means the OOP folks can still get what they want, but if the DDP people want cheese or sushi they need to order it as an entree.

I imagine there are those who would order cheese or sushi as an entree (and hey if I want to keep my weight down, I might order Yoshi's) but most DDPers are interested in maximizing their value for 2 credits and are NOT going to touch the cheese or any sushi other than Yoshi's or the Snake in the Grass.

I wonder why they don't want DDP patrons ordering cheese? The foie gras is still on the appetizer menu and it's more expensive. I think maybe they offered it as a dessert and they now want it off the dessert menu. Flying Fish had a similar cheese plate and last week they allowed me to get it as either an appetizer or a dessert. :confused3

We ate there on August 9. At that time, the sushi was still grouped as an appetizer, according to their menu and our server.

So, if it has changed, it's been in the last week. Of course, this would confirm that they are just changing it for the free dining period.

I'm really confused about this. The only thing I might be able to figure out is:

The cheese stands alone.

I don't mind as long as they keep the foie gras on the menu. I hope I didn't give the foie gras the kiss of death by saying this.

Last year, many expensive items were taking off of menus around Disney during the free dining period. The dis boards were filled of complaints of it - such as Chefs taking off their filet, smoothies were limited, some resturants not giving an option for the dessert and selected it for you (like a dessert sampler.) It happens - after free dining some of the limited options were gone again and the resturants went back to normal.

Better knock on wood :p
I'll blame you if it goes ::laughing:

They did do this same thing last year. I remember them moving the sushi to the entree section especially.

ok so i guess there is some confusion. I remember eating at Cali Grill last year and distinctly recall half of our party ordering sushi. They were all definatly considered an appetizer not an entree! We went in mid September. I am confused is this like the game of telephone???????? Where everyone has a different story?:rotfl:

Remember folks - Disney does not its post menu's for this reason. All sites that show menu's are unofficial.

This is irritating! We're looking forward to CG as our big finale last night dinner, and taking the sushi off the appetizer menu stinks!

SauceBoss is right--and notice that all Disney menus are just printed on paper. If necessary, easy to change on an almost daily basis.

I can also add that we ate at CG last year during free dining and I also ordered sushi as an appetizer.
