emme & i made a quick weekend getaway during 4th of july weekend. we arrived on friday & departed on sunday. the best part of the weekend was being able to meet up with our DISfriend, rachel. emme was uber excited!
we arrived to the grande beach resorts & got ready for dinner at DTD. originally, we were suppose to meet with 2 other DIS members but they could not make it.
we decided on paradiso 37. i had never been but as long as there was a bar and something to munch on, i was going to be a happy camper. i parked on the opposite side of where i needed to be and with some light drizzle happening, emme & i quickly made our way to paradiso 37.
but not before seeing this:
i thought for a quick second of starting a vinylmation collection at that very moment but then emme poked me & brought me back down to reality. HA!
i was the first to arrive so i checked us in.
P37 touted the worlds coldest beer:
a nice, cold beer sounded tasty so i ordered a shock top.
however, it definitely was not the worlds coldest beer but it was refreshing.
as you can see, emme was getting a little tired by now. it was pretty loud inside P37 as well & i think that was adding to her irritability.
and then our DISmeet with rachel! the last time we saw rachel, we were together at disney in april & stayed at POR in the royal guest rooms. it was so nice to see her. her boyfriend corey could not make it but we would see him the next day. i thought maybe emme scared him away...ha ha!
i took advantage of the bar and ordered a delicious margarita. not only was it delicious, it was very strong.

for dinner, emme chose:
Kids Macaroni & Cheese
with a side of fries:
the macaroni & cheese was very creamy. the fries were light & crispy and had just the right amount of salt. too bad she only ate 3 bites.
after deliberating of what i wanted to eat, i was definitely munchy after the margarita. here is what i chose:
Enchiladas - chicken or beef, corn tortillas with your choice of guajillo or mole verde sauces. Served with cilantro rice and black beans. $15.99
i chose chicken with the guajillo sauce. it was so scrumptious!! the chicken was tender and the sauce was heavenly.
also, it came with a side of cilantro rice & black beans.

rachel & i both had another drink except hers was too strong for her so since i'm a good friend, i drank hers and let her order her choice for the next drink.
P37 accepts TIW which was a great deal.
we got very attentive service but i'm not going to lie, it was really really really loud inside. we got to sit upstairs and maybe the noise traveled upwards but man, it was loud inside.
we had to say our goodbyes and planned on meeting at animal kingdom the next morning.
I see you will be at WDW the sametime my DH and I are. Maybe will run into each other, or can grab a drink at F&W.
hopefully he'll come through his treatments w/ flying colors. it sounds like he has a good support system. that's great news about your brother! at least him being home must ease your dad's mind a bit.
