Can anyone tell me if this pic is truly representative of what the BWV's studio rooms look like? I'm thinking of booking a studio for just me and my two teens for a quick getaway. If they truly do have two couches (one pullout and one daybed) in addition to the bed, then it'll work, but if it varies, that will be a factor in booking. We have never stayed in any of the DVC studios, so I just want to make sure of what I'm getting before I reserve.

Yes, I stayed in the exact same room.

The quality of the sofabed was very good there. Just as comfortable as the regular bed.

Though - I don't know if some studios are different.

PS - I stayed in SSR and the sofabed was the WORST!!!! I hope BLT has the same as Boardwalk, or my kids are going to be very uncomfortable.

Studio: The Studio rooms are 359 square feet in size and are smaller than the rooms at Disney's Old Key West, another DVC resort on property. The studio offers a queen size bed, double sleeper sofa, nightstand, telephone, wall mirror, small table with 2 chairs, armoire, television, small key-operated wall safe, and a sink and mirror outside of the tub and commode area, with a private patio or balcony area.

TYVM! My DD always claims the daybeds and DS stakes claim on the pull outs. This will work perfectly for us. :thanks:

That photo looks like it was taken with a fisheye and looks distorted. That daybed by the TV is a short deacon's bench, with a thin mattress about the size of a crib. A teen could never sleep on it, only a small child. My son tried it when he was five and he just fit, but hated it. So we used it like most other guests to stash luggage and things we bought.

This is a dedicated studio. Lock off studios do not have the deacon's bench in them. The door to the connecting one bedroom is in that location in those rooms.

This room is called a Studio Plus and used to be a booking category a long time ago. But no more. It can't even be requested.

If you stay with two teens, someone is going to have to share a bed. The sleeper sofa is a double sized sleeper.

Thanks for the info. This was a photo on shown on Hotels.com. I had been searching for a studio pic at BWI on the web and this is what they showed. I had thought from the photo that the bench was actually like the daybeds/couches in the regular rooms at say, YC or the Poly. If that was the case, my DD definitely fits in them...but if they are not the same then no. I could share a bed with DD, but its just not optimal or my preference.

The photo you posted makes the room look much larger than it really is. It is also a dedicated studio and there aren't very many of those and while you can request one, there is no guarantee you will get one.

Most of the studios at BWV are lockoffs and do not have that deacon's bench. The 360-degree tour on the public DVC website shows what a lockoff studio looks like: http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/guest/resorts/virtual360/virtual360Landing?id=BWV360Page When the page loads, select "Studio".

There are also some photos of a lockoff studio on allears' site: http://allears.net/acc/g_bwv.htm scroll down and look at the photos of "STUDIO - Room 1113 - Standard Room".

I appreciate all the info and I checked out both links that you gave. They were very helpful. At least now I won't be blindsided. I think we can make it work even without the daybed that I thought was there. As long as I know what to expect, I'm fine with it. I told DD we will have to bunk in together and she said if that's what it takes to squeeze in another Disney trip, then she is okay with it. :woohoo: Thanks again!
