BWV with MIL

We are planning an April 2008 trip with myself, DW, DS5, MIL and SFIL. The IL's don't care where we stay ("wherever, just along for the ride"). It will be their first exposure to DVC and we want it to be positive.

We are planning 2BR villa 3 nights at WDW and 3 nights at VB. We are thinking of trying BWV, but want to make sure it will impress.

1) Have BWV been refurbed (we stayed at OKW-new appliances, TV, etc)?

2) Can't decide on Pref. view or BW view. Help?

3) Anything else to help?

In my opinion--and it's just my opinion--stay at OKW with its larger rooms.

You can go 'next door' to SSR and show them the SSR and AKV rooms, but come back to a larger suite at OKW.

Just my $0.02.

I can only comment on #2. Really, if you can get BW view, I think that's the best bet. SV is fewer points, BW view is of the Boardwalk, and PV can be really anything and costs the same as the guaranteed Boardwalk view!

Since we have most of our points at the BWV, that's where we've held most of our multi-family trips and everyone, including DH and myself, as hosts, have always been very satisfied!

Do you know that all 2 bedrooms at BWV are lock offs, so only a Q and sofa bed in the studio section. I understand about the extra nice and spacious OKW accomodations. DH only would spend points at OKW for a 1 bedroom, but even he is fine with "our" BWV 2 bedroom stays.

If MIL and FIL will have the studio side to themselves, then I think it would be nicer for them to have a bed plus a sofa rather than 2 beds. That way they can have a nice place to watch TV even if the living room area needs to be quiet for your son or if your son wants to watch a DVD. (If they want 2 beds, that is not possible at BWV.)
Depending on the week in April you want, your choices may be limited. Spring break folks may have booked up most rooms at the beginning and middle of April.
