BWV vs. BCV

We are new owners at AKV. However, years ago we owned at BWV and love, love, loved it! We had to sell because of tough financial times, and now we are back on our feet and are excited to ge owners again. Anyway, we booked half of our trip this Sept. at AKV, and half at BWV for nastalgic reasons. However, now I am reading that the rooms at Boardwalk need refurbishment. I am wondering if we should have tried BCV instead. We have kids that would love SAB, but my husband and I have alot of good memories at BWV and would love to go back. So, any opinions on whether the room quality and SAB is enough to sway us to BCV? I have never even visited BCV, so that is why I am so unsure.

I recently had a split stay between BCV and BWV. I didn't see any noticeable difference in the room quality at the 2 resorts. My only complaint with BWV is the lack of a coffee table in the studios, mostly since it was announced at an annual meeting a few years ago that BWV studios would get coffee tables. Instead, I have to drag in a chair from the balcony to put my feet up while I watch TV. Oh, well-the lack of a coffee table is probably a plus for people who'd have to constantly move it so they could open the sofa bed.

We've stayed at both, BWV most recently, though we own at BCV. We stay in two bedrooms, and haven't really noticed a significant difference. We loved the boardwalk view at BWV, but overall we decided we liked BCV better, though we're not sure why. I know that makes no sense, just subjective, personal preference. Our big kids love SAB, and maybe that's the tipping point for us.

(Of course, we're not picky. We love every DVC resort we've been to, and expect we'll love SSR when we go in April as well.)

September is an easier time to get BCV, before Food and Wine kicks in, so if you want to try BCV, that may be the time to do it! BWV is larger and more likely to have rooms at other times of the year at 7 months.

I have a Sept. trip booked, AKV and BCV, for that very reason. I have a friend who's never stayed at either, so I'm showing her these two sides of DVC!

I think if you're yearning for the BW then you should stay there. We stayed at both fairly recently and I have to say I saw no difference in age/comfort between the two. Stay at the BW, they were just great last March.

We like the activities and pool/slide better at BCV. So depending on your children's ages you might want to look into that aspect!
