BWV vs BCV renting points

I currently have a request in with David's to rent points for Dec 14-17 at BCV, but they don't have any points available at that resort. I am wondering if my chances would be better to switch over and try BWV. I don't want to wait so long that there is nothing left available! We do have the points that I could wait until 7 months and try my luck, but I would still need to buy some one time use points so I figured I would just rent (we've burned through a lot of points this year!) Just wondering if there are generally more points out there for BWV vs BCV. I really don't want to end up staying off property.

BWV is quite a bit larger than BCV so just theoretically there should be more available to rent. I don't know if that translates to better availability though because it also is popular.

Yeah. The issue with waitlists for points through brokers is that it's really about who is ponying up to rent at any given time, how many points, UY, etc. etc. So it's completely opaque if you'd have better odds. Maybe someone with 800BCV points shows up to Dave tomorrow. Maybe someone who bought enough BWV points to do a GV twice a year shows. There's no predicting.

Won't David's put you on a waitlist for both resorts? That's what I'd do if either EPCOT resort would be OK with you (even if one was preferred). It all boils down to when an owner decides to rent points. No way to know that ahead of time.

Have you considered booking a room through CR at the resort of your choice as a back up?

Be prepared to take what you can get. December books early. I booked a week in a one bedroom at OKW for early December for myself, and the Near HH category rooms were already gone. But that might be due to ongoing renovations at the resort.
